NeuroAIDS refers to the spectrum of neuropsychiatric complications observed in approximately 30–50% of HIV/AIDS patients. Although the advent of antiretroviral therapy has reduced the severity of AIDS, mild cognitive deficits persist in nearly half of treated patients, highlighting limitations in central nervous system (CNS) drug delivery. These limitations are attributed to poor blood-brain barrier (BBB) permeability, P-glycoprotein efflux, low solubility, first-pass metabolism, and short half-lives of many ART drugs. Nose-to-brain drug delivery has emerged as a promising alternative, bypassing the BBB via olfactory and trigeminal pathways. This route offers direct CNS access while minimizing systemic exposure. Factors such as drug molecular weight, lipophilicity, pH, osmolality, viscosity, particle size, and surface charge significantly influence nasal drug absorption and brain targeting. Approaches to optimize nose-to-brain delivery include the use of prodrugs, permeation enhancers, mucoadhesive agents, enzyme inhibitors, and P-glycoprotein inhibitors. Despite encouraging preclinical data, challenges remain, including mucociliary clearance, enzymatic degradation, and species-specific anatomical variations that hinder translational research. A rational formulation design that considers physiological and physicochemical barriers is essential for clinical success. Nanocarriers—including nanovesicles, solid lipid nanoparticles (SLNs), and microemulsions—offer several advantages: they protect drugs from enzymatic degradation, improve solubility and stability, enable controlled release, and enhance mucoadhesion and uptake across the nasal mucosa. Overall, intranasal delivery systems, particularly those employing nanocarriers and functional excipients, offer a novel and efficient approach to managing NeuroAIDS by enhancing ART bioavailability in the CNS and improving drug access to HIV reservoirs in the brain.
Background: With the increasing demands for adult orthodontics, a growing need arises to bond attachments to porcelain surfaces. Optimal adhesion to porcelain surface should allow orthodontic treatment without bond failure but not jeopardize porcelain integrity after debonding. The present study was carried out to compare the shear bond strength of metal bracket bonded to porcelain surface prepared by two mechanical treatments and by using different etching systems (Hydrofluoric acid 9% and acidulated phosphate fluoride 1.23%). Materials and Methods: The samples were comprised of 60 models (28mm *15mm*28mm) of metal fused to porcelain (feldspathic porcelain). They were divided as the following: group I (control): the porcelain surface left u

The reaction of the (L-AZD) with: [VO(II), Cr(III), Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and Hg(II)], has been investigated and was isolated as tri nuclear cluster and characterized by: Ft-IR, U. v- Visible, electrical conductivity, magnetic susceptibilities at 25 Co, atomic absorption and molar ratio. Spectroscopic evidence showed that the binding of metal ions were through azide and carbonyl moieties resulting in a six- coordinating metal ions in [Cr (III), Mn (II), Co (II) and Ni (II)]. The Vo (II), Cu (II), Zn (II), Cd (II) and Hg (II) were coordinated through azide group only forming square pyramidal

The first depends on the oxidative coupling of eugenol with p-amino-N,N-dimethylaniline (PADA) in the presence of K3[Fe(CN)6]. A linear regression calibration plot for eugenol was constructed at 600 nm, within a concentration range of 0.25-2.50 μg.mL–1 and a correlation coefficient (r) value of 0.9988. The limits of detection (LOD) and quantitation (LOQ) were 0.086 and 0.284 μg.mL–1, respectively. The second method is based on the dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction of the derivatized oxidative coupling product of eugenol with PADA. Under the optimized extraction procedure, the extracted colored product was determined spectrophotometrically at 618 nm. A l

Screening of L. lactis ssp. Lactis and isolated from the intestines fish and raw milk was performed in well diffusion method. The results showed that L. lactis ssp. lactis (Lc4) was the most efficient isolate in producing the bacteriocin as well observed inhibitory activity the increased that companied with the concentration, the concentration of the twice filtrate was better in obtaining higher inhibition diameters compared to the one-fold concentration. They wrote in their novels, among other things, about Orientalism , love and femininity. They both lived wild, extroverted lives. They did not shy away from experiencing anything new that came their way, rebelled against conventions and acted provocatively; they enjoyed the shock and amazement that evoked around them. While trying to find their place in different family settings, they chose to present two Arab Christian heroines. The narrator in Jasmine is the speaker Noori-Eli himself. While the narrator of “Trumpet in the Wadi” is Huda the heroine herself. Both ar
