Background: Venous leg ulcers (VLUs) affect 1-3% of the population and impose substantial pain-related morbidity, yet vascular pain remains underrecognized in clinical practice and research. Objectives: This narrative review synthesizes current evidence on the pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, and management strategies for VLU-associated pain. Methods: A comprehensive literature search was conducted across PubMed/MEDLINE, Scopus, Embase, and Web of Science (January 2015-July 2025) following SANRA guidelines. Search terms included "vascular pain", "venous leg ulcer", "chronic venous disease" and related terminology. Studies addressing pathophysiology, clinical characteristics, diagnostic approaches, and therapeutic interventions were included. Results: VLU pain demonstrates complex pathophysiology encompassing nociceptive, neuropathic, and nociplastic components driven by venous hypertension, chronic inflammation, and central sensitization. Pain prevalence ranges from 50-87% in VLU patients, significantly impacting quality of life and functional status. Evidence supports a five-strategy management framework: (1) treating underlying venous pathology through early ablation, (2) optimized compression therapy achieving ~40 mmHg ankle interface pressure, (3) procedure-specific local anesthesia using topical agents, (4) multimodal systemic analgesia targeting neuropathic features, and (5) adjunctive venoactive drugs. Patient-reported outcome measures reveal substantial psychosocial burden beyond wound-related symptoms. Conclusion: VLU pain represents a distinct clinical entity requiring mechanism-based, multidisciplinary approaches. Early venous intervention, evidence-based compression protocols, and targeted analgesic strategies show promise for improving outcomes. Critical research gaps include dedicated pain-focused clinical trials, standardized outcome measures, and personalized treatment algorithms. Enhanced recognition and systematic management of vascular pain could substantially improve patient-centered outcomes in chronic venous disease.
Abstract Daily dressing changes cause distress and pain for victims of burn injuries. The study aimed to determine the effect of music in reducing the pain and anxiety of thermally burned children during routine dressing changes. This quantitative study employed a randomized controlled trial design. The participants comprised 80 children at the Specialized Burns Hospital, in Baghdad, Iraq who were divided into two groups. The intervention group were exposed to three generic musical pieces (children’s music, nature sounds, and classical music) for 10-15 minutes. The researchers used the Objective Pain Scale, State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, and physiological parameters to measure the children’s responses immediately before the dressing cha

Existing diagnostic paradigms largely rely on bone scanning and bone mineral density evaluation which are hindered by the delayed prediction of fractures, especially in high-risk groups. This review assesses existing and novel Osteoporosis biomarkers, their mechanisms, clinical efficacy, drawbacks, and discusses the best biomarkers in Osteoporosis risk stratification and management, to convert them into better patient care. An online search was conducted, including PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, and Google Scholar up to June 2026. Passed studies were reviewed critically and organized biomarkers into five different panels: traditional and bone turnover

The topic of the research tagged (narrative structure and its impact on building open and closed endings in the fictional film) is summarized by studying the mechanism of employing closed and open endings in the fictional film. novelist, then the need for it, as well as the objectives of the research and clarifying its limits as well as its importance. Then moving to the theoretical framework, which included three topics, where the first topic was entitled (the cinematic construction of the film narrative), either the second topic (the structure of complexity and narrative solutions), or the third topic dealt with the subject (the structure of the end and its relationship to the construction of the narrative). Two groups of chronic hepatitis B and C virus patients were divided into Pre-treated patients (25 CHB patients with positive HBs Ag for more than 6 months and 40 CHC patients), and post-treated patients [12 CHB patients (4, 6, and 2 were treated with lamivudine, IFN-? and combination of LMV + IFN-? respectively), and 27 patients for CHC (3, 13 and 11 patients were treated with Ribavirin, IFN-? and combination therapy (RBV+ IFN-?) respectively].These patients were followed up for 6 months. By using ELISA technique, levels of IL-6, IL-10, IFN-? and TNF-? were measured in vivo and in vitro (supernatant of PBMCs stimulated with PHA) and compared with healthy control. The mean level of IL-6, IL-10 and TNF-? in CHB patients showed significant dif

As the accumulation happens, the saturation of the liquid will grow and a reduction in gas relative permeability will happen, therefore it will affect the productivity. Generally, condensate baking problem in gas wells is being deliberated and studied and numerous techniques have been suggested to solve the problem. The studying of condensate banking dynamics is essential to evaluate the productivity and behavior of the wells of the gas fields.
