Mathematical modeling is carried out by utilizing long wavelength and low Reynolds number assumptions. The prediction of fatigue lifetimes based on the two classical methods, Corton-Dalon (CD)andCorton-Dalon-Marsh (CDM), are uneconomic and non-conservative respectively.
