New Schiff base [3-(3-acetylthioureido)pyrazine-2-carboxylic acid][L] has been prepared through 2 stages, the chloro acetyl chloride has been reacting with the ammonium thiocyanate in the initial phase for producing precursor [A], after that [A] has been reacting with the 3-amino pyrazine-2-carboxilic acid to provide a novel bidentate ligand [L], such ligand [L] has been reacting with certain metal ions in the Mn(II), VO(II), Ni(II), Co(II), Zn(II), Cu(II), Hg(II), and Cd(II) for providing series of new metal complexes regarding general molecular formula [M(L)2XY], in which; VO(II); X=SO4,Y=0, Co(II), Mn(II), Cu(II), Ni(II), Cd(II), Zn(II), and Hg(II); Y=Cl, X=Cl. Also, all the compounds were characterized through spectroscopic techniques [ IR, UV-Vis, atomic absorption], conductivity measurements, chloride content, elemental micro analysis in addition to the 1 H,13C-NMR for ligand [L] only. Based on the results taken from the methods mentioned above, the proposed geometrical structures with regard to each prepared complex have been in the agreement with octahedral formula.
This study aims to prepare new compounds and investigate them spectroscopically and biologically against selected types of positive and negative bacteria and fungi to demonstrate their biological effectiveness. The prepared ligand combining formaldehyde, indole, sulfa benzamide, and 2-mercapto benzimidazole, a Mannich base ligand (L) was synthesized. The six metal ions including Cobalt (II), Nickel (II), Copper (II), Palladium (II), Platinum (IV), and gold (III) have interacted with the ligand and formed new complexes. Different spectroscopic methods, including C.H.N.S., FTIR, UV- Range visible, 1HNMR, 13CNMR, mass spectra, magnetic moment, and molar conductivity were used to suggest the new geometry of the complexes. The resul

Those materials that have been prepared provided results are a result of exhibiting different activities of the radical scavenging for all of the compounds. Compounds were observed then confirmed through the Fourier-tra

The prepared ligand [H2L] was characterized by FT-IR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, 1H, 13C-NMR spectra, Mass spectra, (C.H.N) and melting point. The complexes of ligand [H2L] were prepared with metal ion M(Π).Where M(Π) = (Mn ,Co ,Ni and Cu) at reflux ,using ethanol as a solvent and KOH as a base with molecular formula [M (H2L)2] +2 where: H2L= (C15H12NOCl). Compound (C3) from the reaction with different aromatic aldehydes in absolute ethanol gave the Schiff′s bases (C4,C5). The product compounds were characterized by FT-IR, U.V and 1HNMR spectra and the biological activities were studied as antibacterial.

The yields were very high, ranging from 81% to 91%. The synthesis of these compounds was characterized using various techniques such as FT-IR, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR. The antioxidant activity of these com-pounds was investigated utilizing the DPPH radical scavenging assay. The findings indicated that all compounds possessed antioxidant activity that increased proportionally with increasing concentration, particularly compounds 6 and 7, possibly due to the presence of hydroxyl groups in their structures.
