The removal of fluoride ions from aqueous solution onto algal biomass as biosorbent in batch and continuous fluidized bed systems was studied. Batch system was used to study the effects of process parameters such as, pH (2-3.5), influent fluoride ions concentration (10- 50 mg/l), algal biomass dose (0–1.5 g/ 200 ml solution), to determine the best operating conditions. In the present study a series of some four-,five-and seven-membered heterocyclic compounds have been synthesized by the reaetion of Schiff bases (1a,b) with chloroacetyl chloride, sodium azide, thioglycolic acid or various anhydrides to give azetidinone (2a,b), tetrazole (3a,b), thiazolidinone (4a,b) and 1,3-oxazepine derivatives (5-8a,b) respectively. Proteinases (E.C.3.4.21) family are widely distributed in the nature; it was present in animals tissues , plants and microbial cell . Protease was purified from Zahdi seed (Phoenix dactylifera L.) by several steps included ammonium sulphite ppt (75%) saturation and dialyzed against the 80mM sodium phosphate buffer at pH 7.5 . The enzyme specific activity was 407.62 unit/mg protein. The obtained extract was purified by DEAE-Cellulose column followed by gel filtration through Sephacyl S-200 column .The enzyme specific activity ,yield and purification fold were 1873.49 unit/mg protein, 22.99 and 58.42% respectively.
