In the present study, the effectiveness of a procedure of electrocoagulation for removing chemical oxygen demand (COD) from the wastewater of petroleum refinery has been evaluated. Aluminum and stainless steel electrodes were used as a sacrificial anode and cathode respectively. The effect of current density (4-20mAcm−2), pH (3-11), and NaCl concentration (0-4g/l) on efficiency of removal of chemical oxygen demand was investigated. The results have shown that increasing of current density led to increase the efficiency of COD removal while increasing NaCl concentration resulted in decreasing of COD removal efficiency. Effect of pH was found to be lowering COD removal efficiency when pH increased or decreased from pH=7. The best conditions were found to be a current density of 12mA/cm2, pH=7 and NaCl concentration of 2g/l at treatment time of 60 minutes, where a maximum COD removal efficiency of 96.8%, phenol removal efficiency of 64.7%, and total dissolved solid (TDS) removal efficiency of 20.6% were obtained at energy consumption of 29.12 kWh/kg COD. The results of the present work gave COD of 8mg/l which is lower than the standard limit for discharging petroleum refinery effluent. The electrocougulation was proven to be efficient and reliable technique for treatment Al-Dewaniya petroleum refinery effluent to get effluent with features in agreement with the standard limits for discharge to environment at lower cost.

Abstract: Various peoples have contributed to building the Islamic civilization through the achievements and creativity of their scholars. In particular, the Kurdish scholars have provided new and great services to the Holy Qur’an that deserves attention. For example, it is no secret that Sheikh Ahmadian, with his interpretation, rendered a great service to the Glorious Book of God. His style is distinguished by modernity, seriousness and objectivity, and represents a lively response to the needs of the Kurdish Muslim people. Due to the importance of Ahmadian’s interpretation of the Qur’an, therefore, I have demonstrated his approach in this research in terms of dealing with his interpretation of the Qur’an with the Qur’an, the

In this study, a novel chitosan/pumice (CS/PM) composite was synthesized and evaluated for its multifunctional adsorption performance toward four common and toxic pollutants: lead (Pb(II)), cadmium (Cd(II)), methylene blue (MB), and Congo red (CR). Characterization confirmed the successful integration of chitosan with pumice, resulting in reduced crystallinity, enhanced thermal stability, and active functional groups involved in adsorption. Adsorption experiments demonstrated optimal pollutant removal at a pH value of

Hence this research is entitled: (the impact of context on the morphological semantics in the Diwan of Abi Al-Aswad Al-Dau’ali) and the morphological meanings indicated by the morphological formula which lack the combination of other contextual clues. The researcher depended on the analytical approach to show the impact of pairing occurring between the contextual elements on determining the morphological meaning.

The phenomenon of celebration of army leaders in the Abbasid era formed a distinct phenomenon at which the poets stood, and among those leaders was the Arab leader Hamid al-Taie, and the poets who stood on him and his sons Abu Tammam and al-Bohtari recorded in their poems the exploits of that leader, and the exploits of his sons through images that represented sadness, courage In this research, the generosity, and the rhetorical and artistic aspects of those images, have been spotted, balancing the poets.
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, the best prayer and the best prayer, on our master Muhammad, and on his pure God, and his companions and the faithful, and who followed them by charity to the day of religion. Sixteen sites of sediment were selected and distributed along Shatt Al-Arab River and the Iraqi marine environment. The samples were distributed among one station on Euphrates River before its confluence with Tigris River and Shatt Al-Arab formation, seven stations along Shatt Al-Arab River and eight stations were selected from the Iraqi marine region. All samples were collected from surface sediment in low tide time.
