...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>This study was done in green house of college of Agricultural engineering sciences during the season 2019-2020 to study the effect of the foliar spray with yeast suspension, nutrition solution (Foliartal) and their interaction on some leaf nutrients contents of (citrus limon L.) lime seedling was produced from the tissue culture lab. Studied factors were three level (0,7 and 10) g.L-1 and (0,3 and 5) ml.L-1 of yeast suspension and foliartal nutrient respectively treatments were distributed in Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) with two replicates the test LSD used in order to compare between means at 0.05% probability. the results showed that treatments 10 g.L-1 of yeast suspension gave the highest values (1.57, 0.24, 1.48, 7.44 and 0.53,)% and (19.31, 114.63, and 28.42)mg.kg-1 for N,P,K,C, Mg, Mn,Fe and Zn respectively the foliar nutrient at 5 ml.L-1 gave significantly increased in all this characters which (1.5, 0.28, 1.44, 7.10 and 0.52)% and (18.64, 115.35 and 29.33) mg.kg-1 for characters respectively, also the interaction between yeast suspension10 g.L-1 + foliartal nutrient 5 ml.L-1 gave the highest increment was (1.77, 1.62, 7.91 and 0.56) % and (20.89, 131.69 and 33.12) mg.kg-1 respectively except phosphor percentage was highest value 0.29 % with (10 g.L-1 +3ml.L-1) while the control treatments (0 g.L-1 + 0 ml.L-1) gave lower number of leaf mineral contents.</p>

Effect of Phoenix dactylifera pollen grains suspension on spermatogenesis and some biochemical parameters in albino rats
...Show More Authors

In this study forty mature albino rats were used wich were randomly divided into five groups ,four groups were adminstrated Phoenix dactylifera pollen grains suspension at concertenrations (18,54,108,and 216)mg/ kg body weight by oral administration while the fifth group was considered as a control group.Experiment continued for 40 days then rats were sacrificed and samples of blood were collected for determination of some biochemical parameters (total protein ,total cholesterol ,LDLc and HDLc).Testis were removed for preparation histological sections to measures the diameters of seminferous tubules ,thickness of seminiferous epithelium and the numbers of spermatogenic cells.

Effect of Essential Oils Extracted from the Peels of Two Species of Citrus on Some Fungi
...Show More Authors

This study investigated the effect of essential oils extracted from peel of Citrus limon and Citrus reticulata on two species of fungui: Penicillium expansum and Fusarium proliferatum and also effect of two fungicides: Hymexazol and Benomyl against this fungi. Results showed that the essential oils of C. limon inhibited the radial growth of P. expansum and F. proliferatum at concentration 4.5 and 5%, respectively. However, the essential oil of C. reticulate inhibited this growth at concentration 5.5 and 6%, respectively. Moreover, the two fungicides inhibited radial growth of this fungi. In conclusion, there is a positive relationship between the increasing of concentration and the percentage of inhibiting of radial growth of fungi.

EFFECT OF SEED PRIMING WITH GREEN TEA (CAMELLIA SINENSIS L.) AQUEOUS EXTRACT ON GERMINATION AND GROWTH TRAITS OF MUNG BEAN (VIGNA RADIATA L.)
...Show More Authors

A laboratory experiment studied the effects of the green tea (Camellia sinensis L.) aqueous extract at concentrations of 10, 20, and 30 ppm on the germination and growth traits of the mung bean (Vigna radiata L.), carried out in 2021 at the Department of Biology, College of Education for Pure Sciences, Ibn Al-Haitham, University of Baghdad, Iraq. The results showed that Camellia sinensis green tea extracts played a vital role by significantly boosting all the examined characteristics compared with the control treatment. The aqueous extract of Green tea at concentrations of 10 and 20 ppm gave the best performance in increasing germination rates, germination speed, plant promoter indicator, and seedling strength compared with the control trea

Effect of Heat Treatments and Carbon Content on the Damping Properties of Structural Steel
...Show More Authors

Low- and medium-carbon structural steel components face random vibration and dynamic loads (like earthquakes) in many applications. Thus a modification to improve their mechanical properties, essentially damping properties, is required. The present study focuses on improving and developing these properties, significantly dampening properties, without losing the other mechanical properties. The specimens used in the present study are structural steel ribbed bar ISO 6935 subjected to heating temperatures of (850, 950, and 1050) ˚C, and cooling schemes of annealing, normalizing, sand, and quenching was selected. The damping properties of the specimens were measured experimentally with the area under the curve for the loadi

EFFECT OF PLANT DENSITIES ON THE GROWTH AND YIELD OF SUNFLOWER Helianthus annuus L.: EFFECT OF PLANT DENSITIES ON THE GROWTH AND YIELD OF SUNFLOWER Helianthus annuus L.
...Show More Authors

A field experiment was conducted at the experimental field of botanical garden, faculty of science, university of Baghdad, in order to study the effect of plant density on growth and yield of two local cultivars of sunflower (Sin Althieb and Shumose). The densities used were 4.4 and 8.8 plant/m2. The results showed difference between cultivars in their agronomic traits and their yields. There was a significant increase in plant height and leaf area index by increasing the plant density, while head diameter, number of seeds and leaf area decreased. But the most significant effect was the increasing in yield and biological yield by increasing the plant density. There was an increase by 72% and 58% in the yield and 79% an
