Pregnancy at an early age of life is a major challenge. The consequences of this problem have an impact on the quality of life of the young mother and her family, and determines an important risk for her offspring. The son of a teenage mother has, in general, greater risks than that of a mother of more than 20 years. The aim of this study is to determine the prevalence and outcome of teenage pregnancy. A descriptive data base study was conducted at Al-Elwia Maternity Teaching hospital in the period from January 1, 2019 to the end of June 2019 within the age between 12 and 19 years old. The mean age of the mother was 17.4 ±1.5 years. The mean age of the father was 23.9 ± 5.7 years with (69.5%) with Vaginal delivery and most of the teenage pregnant women were primigravidas (80.3%) and major group of birth weight neonate was in between 2500-4000 gm. Aanemia was the most common complication (55.8%) then pregnancy induced hypertension PIH (18.3%).The admission of the neonate to the neonatal intensive care unit (40.0%) are higher than other complications. In conclusion, Prevalence of teenage pregnancy was (21.9%), with high complications for mothers and neonate.

The determination of river pollution impact on the performance of water treatment plants is achieved by two main objectives. The first is to study raw and treated water qualities and comparing them with standards and the second is to evaluate the treatment plants efficiency. The analyzed data were those water quality parameters in relation to physical, chemical and bacteriological characteristics for river water and produced water by seven water treatment plants located on Tigris River passing through Baghdad City.
The results of this study indicated that all raw water characteristic are within the surface water standards established by Iraqi and USA criteria except Bacterial Counts.

The present study was conducted in the Tigris River within Baghdad (University of Baghdad campus). The study included some physicochemical parameters and qualitative of epiphytic algae on the host plant (Ceratophyllum demersum) during summer season 2013. The results revealed that the study area was alkaline, hard and oxygenated water. A total of 105 taxa of epiphytic algae was identified. Bacillariophyceae diatoms composed 44.7% of the total and were represented by 42.4% of the order Pennales and 1.9 %of the order Centrales.
