The objective of the present study is to determine the rate  of myocardial infarction  among sample patients attending in CCU medical ward in AL-Zahra hospital and  to identify factors  associated with the myocardial infarction (age, gender, residence, occupation and educational level ), Family history (hypertension…..etc. A case control study conducted in Karbala city / AL-Zahra hospital /medical ward /CCU for cardio pulmonary care unit..  Sampling was  (non probability convenient ) the study  was included  100 cases and 100 controls..
