This study was conducted from January to October 2014, the samples were
collected monthly from four stations in AL-Diwaniya River at AL-Diwaniya city.
Phytoplankton species which are diagnosed during study period are (506) and the
numbers of common types in four sites are (61). Bacillariophyceae is dominate on
other classes and Chlorophyceae, Cyanophyceae, Dinophyceae then Chrysophyceae
and Euglenophyceae. The study shows that there are (150), (144), (118) and (94)
species in the first, second, third and fourth sites. The species that have highs numbers
are (Achnanthes, Cymbella, Nitzschia, Navicula). Other types are dominant in their

 This research aimed to  use eggshell powder as a lithtripsian for different types of urinary stones and determine the efficiency of these preparations against different types of stone.      The grounded and sterilized eggshell was dissolved in fresh lemon juice .The treatment was orally given   for successive 7 days before breakfast.       Eighty five patients with different types of  urinary stone  were participated in this research. Snakes provide a unified account of a number of visual problems, including detection of edges, lines, and motion tracking. We have used snakes successfully for segmentation, in  which  user-imposed  constraint forces guide the snake near features of interest (anatomical structures). Magnetic Resonance Image (MRI) data set and Ultrasound images are used for our experiments.

This study proposed to synthesize iron oxide by biological method nanoparticles. The E.coli is used to reduce Ferric chloride salt into iron particles. The formation of iron oxide nanoparticle was initially monitored by visual observation and then characterized with the help of various characterization techniques such as Uv-vis spectroscopy, (AFM) and (FTIR) analysis, which revealed that the biosynthesized iron oxide nanoparticles were spherical within size 27.7 nm. Optimization of iron oxide nanoparticle biosynthesis by E.coli was performed for parameters (temperature and pH) and the results revealed that temperature 37°C and pH 5 were the optimum conditions for iron oxide nanoparticales biosynthesis by E.coli.<

Background: Venous thromboembolism (VTE), comprising deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE), presents an extra challenge in the management of patients with cancer, given the increase in morbidity and mortality in having both conditions. Cancer patients are well known to have a high risk of VTE; particularly; those who have had major surgery, chemotherapy and/or hormonal therapy. These groups of patients need to understand the risk factors and the prophylactic measures to prevent developing VTE. This review aims to provide an overview of the literature on cancer patients’ understanding of VTE and their experiences of cancer-associated thrombosis (CAT).

This study deals with the remediation of low permeability contaminated clayey soil by using the enhanced electrokinetic technique (EK).
