Background: Displaced intracapsular fracture of the femoral neck remain a challenging issue despite the advancement in the ways of treatment .The purpose of this study is to assess the results of different methods of treatment in different age groups. Methods: This study was conducted over a period from (1998-2004) on 26 patients, with ages of 5 – 85 years with intracapsular fracture of the femoral neck due to different insults in Tikrit teaching hospital. Open reduction and internal fixation was done to those patients of<60 years of age, while uncemented Austin-Moore hemiarthroplasty was conducted in patients of >60 years old. The synchronization of a complex network with optoelectronic feedback has been introduced theoretically, with use of 2×2 oscillators network; each oscillator considered is an optocoupler (LED coupled with photo-detector). Fixing the bias current (δ) and increasing the feedback strength (Ԑ) of each oscillator, the dynamical sequence like chaotic and periodic mixed mode oscillations has been observed. Synchronization of unidirectionally coupled of light emitting diodes network has been featured when coupling strength equal to 1.7×10-4. The transition between non-synchronization and synchronization states by means of the spatio-temporal distribution has been investigated.

The influence of 5-10 kHz audio frequency on the power dissipation in ac discharge of argon gas was studied experimentally, at pressures 50-80 mTorr and electrodes separation 10 cm (pd range 0.5-0.8 Torr.
cm). The measurements have shown that the discharge behavior in the ac circuit is equivalent to a series RC circuit. It is observed that the variation curve of discharge power P with the frequency f is approximately has a Gaussian shape. It is also observed that the curve of Pm- pd is the inverse of Paschen curve, where Pm is the maximum power in the frequency range. The time of breakdown is estimated from the curve of P- f.
