Groundwater quality deterioration due to anthropogenic natural activities and its immense utilization in various sectors is considered a great concern. The aim of this study is to determine the groundwater quality parameters at various sources in and around Dhaka city and compare them with Bangladesh drinking water standards. In this study, six groundwater quality parameters (pH, DO, COD, TS, TDS, and arsenic) and ten groundwater samples are analyzed to determine the water quality. In this study abundance and composition of zooplanktons in the Indus River Estuary was conducted to examine habitat characteristics and its impact on tiny organisms. Overall 30,656 individuals were identified and segregated into seven major groups including Copepods, Cnidarians, Decapods, Mollusk, Pisces, Amphipods and Chaetognaths. For better understanding they were further divided into eighteen planktonic categories. The main goal of this paper is to introduce and study a new concept named d^*-supplemented which can be considered as a generalization of W- supplemented modules and d-hollow module. Also, we introduce a d^*-supplement submodule. Many relationships of d^*-supplemented modules are studied. Especially, we give characterizations of d^*-supplemented modules and relationship between this kind of modules and other kind modules for example every d-hollow (d-local) module is d^*-supplemented and by an example we show that the converse is not true.

     The -s-extending modules will be purpose of this paper, a module M  is -s-extending if each submodule in M is essential in submodule has a supplement that is direct summand. Initially, we give relation between this concept with weakly supplement extending modules and -supplemented modules. In fact, we gives the following implications:

Lifting modules   -supplemented modules   -s-extending modules  weakly supplement extending modules.

It is also we give examples show that, the converse of this result is not true. Moreover, we study when the converse of this result is true.

Sixty samples of commercially available contact lens solutions were collected from students at the Pharmacy College/Baghdad University. The types of lenses used varied from medical to cosmetic. They were cultured to diagnose any microbial contamination within the solutions. Both used and unused solutions were subject for culturing. Thirty six (60%) used samples showed bacterial growth, fungal growth was absent. Pseudomonas aeruginosa accounts for the highest number of isolates (25%) followed by E. coli (21%), Staphylococcus epidermidis (6.6%), Pseudomonas fluorescence (5%) and Proteus mirabilis (1.6%) respectively. Only one (1) unused (sealed) sample showed growth of P. fluorescence.
