Objective: Patient satisfaction is critical to ensure patient adherence during orthodontic treatment. This study aimed to evaluate patient satisfaction with orthodontic care and related services provided for Iraqi sample at the College of Dentistry, University of Baghdad. Materials and Methods: A questionnaire-based prospective study was conducted to assess patient satisfaction by using a three-point response rating. The questionnaire contained seven sections divided into 21 questions that covered overall patient relationship with the orthodontic staff, proposed treatment explanation, and orthodontic treatment quality. The questionnaire standard was set so that at least 90% “always” response should be shown by all the patients within the same item. The participants were recruited at different time points of the orthodontic treatment course. The data were allocated into two main groups according to patients’ age as adolescents (under 18 years old) and adults (18 years or older). Results: The validated questionnaire successfully assessed patient satisfaction, showing different percentages of responses addressing various questions. The highest satisfaction “always” response percentages (up to 98.8%) were found in the orthodontist–patient relation section, whereas the highest dissatisfaction “never” responses (up to 16%) and “sometimes” answers (up to 59.3%) were observed in the patient waiting time section. Chi-square analysis showed non-significant differences (p>0.05) between age groups. Conclusions: The first Arabic version of patient satisfaction questionnaire was successfully developed and validated. Overall satisfaction with the treatment process appeared to be significantly affected by orthodontist–patient relations, especially verbal communication. Waiting time and waiting room environment may adversely affect the satisfaction level.
Derivational word formation process is one of the most substantial linguistic procedures that solves many problems in the translation of the language new vocabulary and helps to comprehend the smallest language component that not simply semantically and structurally explain the elements of both Russian and Arabic but also enables translators to comprehend the derivational method procedures of both languages. It also reveals the structural aspects of translation equivalences, cognitive and semantic foundations of translation. Genome-wide association studies have identified over 50 genetic variants linked to T2DM, including polymorphisms associated with the disease. This study investigates the impact of the FADS1 (rs174547) polymorphism in T2DM patients compared to healthy controls and examines serum levels of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, as well as D5D and D6D enzyme levels and activity. This case–control study included 120 participants: 60 newly diagnosed T2DM patients and 60 apparently healthy controls matched for age, sex, and other sociodemographic factors. Polyunsaturated fatt

Literature survey available so far revealed that there was no studies about Iraqi wild Awsaj phytosterols especially B-sitosterol, there for the objective of this study was to examine the efficiency of ultrasound assisted extraction (probe and bath) as compared to the conventional (Soxhlet) extraction method for extraction of phytosterols especially B-sitosterol from fruits, leaves, stems and roots of Iraqi wild Awsaj plant. This goal was achieved by comparing the extraction mass yield, also by a quick and easy approach for identification and quantification of bioac

Solid state reaction technology was used to prepare the samples. Before and after irradiation, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and superconductor properties were examined. Results indicated that the tetragonal structure of our chemical corresponds to the Pb-1223 phase with an increase in the ratio c/a as a result of gamma irradiation. (Tc (onset) ) and on set temperature Tc (offset)) were also dropping from 113 to the 85.6 K and 129.5 to 97 K, respectively, for a transition temperatu
Eight different Dichloro(bis{2-[1-(4-R-phenyl)-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl-κN3]pyridine-κN})iron(II) compounds, 2–9, have been synthesised and characterised, where group R=CH3 (L2), OCH3 (L3), COOH (L4), F (L5), Cl (L6), CN (L7), H (L8) and CF3 (L9). The single crystal X-ray structure was determined for the L3 which was complemented with Density Functional Theory calculations for all complexes. The structure exhibits a distorted octahedral geometry, with the two triazole ligands coordinated to the iron centre positioned in the equatorial plane and the two chloro atoms in the axial positions. The values of the FeII/III redox couple, observed at ca. −0.3 V versus Fc/ Fc+ for complexes 2–9, varied over a very small potential range of 0.05 V.
