            In this study, pure SnO₂ Nanoparticles doped with Cu were synthesized by a chemical precipitation method. Using SnCl₂.2H₂O, CuCl₂.2H₂O as raw materials, the materials were annealed at 550°C for 3 hours in order to improve crystallization. The composite preparing process was carried out by exploding graphite electrodes in an aqueous suspension of copper oxide. The properties of the plasma which is formed during the explosion were studied using emission spectroscopy in order to determine the most important elements that are present in the media. In this study, a packed bed was used to remove pathogenic bacteria from synthetic contaminated water. Two types of packing material substrates, sand and zeolite, were used. These substrates were coated with silver nanoparticles (AgNPs), which were prepared by decomposition of Ag ions from AgNO3 solution.
