Alice Walker (1944) ranks among the greatest American writers of the twentieth century. Through her novels Meridian and the color Purple, Alice outlines many issues concerning the effect of authoritarian thinking upon its often innocent victims, and the possibility of meaningful, productive resistance. Walker's texts aim at giving a voice to those who have no voice especially those poor, rural black women who are robbed of power and the right to make decisions about their own lives by a range of forces standing against them.   The work is concerned with the characterization of as cast films of neat and UV-stabilized nylon 6,6 by employing FTIR measurements. Band assignment is made for neat and UVstabilized nylon 6,6 using FTIR spectra confirm their molecular structure. UV-stabilizer added to nylon 6,6 has caused reduction in the absorbance of the vibrational bands and thus stabilizes the behavior of the polymer in the end and uses specially in harsh environment.

Experimental tests were conducted to investigate the thermal performance (cooling effect) of water mist system consisting of 5μm volume median diameter droplets in reducing the heat gain entering a room through the roof and the west wall by reducing the outside surface temperature due to the evaporative cooling effect during the hot dry summer of Baghdad/Iraq.
