Extraction of Caffeine from Spent Coffee Ground by Solid-liquid Extraction

يهدف البحث الحالي إلى الاستفادة من القهوة المستهلكة , كمادة وسيطة حيث تعد القهوة المستهلكة من المخلفات المضرة للبيئة الاستخراج الكافيين الطبيعي والذي يعد مادة ذات نشاط حيوي واهمية, وتحديد العوامل الفعالة في كفاءة عملية الاستخلاص من حيث تركيز الكافيين. تضمنت المتغيرات الرئيسية المدروسة وقت الاستخلاص  0-150 دقيقة  ، ودرجة الحرارة  25-55 درجة مئوية  ، وسرعة الخلط  180-450 دورة في الدقيقة  ،   ودرجة الحموضة العالق (4-9) ونوع المذيب. أظهرت نتائج العمل التجريبي أن تغيير درجة حموضة المعلق له تأثير كبير على معدل استرجاع الكافيين. عند استخدام الماء فقط كمذيب ، زاد تركيز الكافيين من 135.061   مجم / لتر إلى 2478.179  مجم / لتر عندما تم زيادة الاس الهيدروجيني للعالقِ إلى9. وهناك نتيجة واعدة أخرى وهي أنه من خلال تغيير نوع المذيب. إلى مذيب عضوي مائي ، زاد استرداد الكافيين بشكل ملحوظ. عندما تم استخدام 20 ٪ من الإيثانول ماء كمذيب وعند درجة الحموضة الأصلية للمعلق ، زاد تركيز الكافيين الناتج الى 213  مجم / لتر . علاوة على ذلك ، زيادة نسبة الإيثانول إلى 80٪ ، رفعت تركيز الكافيين إلى 464 (ملجم / لتر). أدت زيادة الاس الهيدروجيني للعالق إلى7  لزيادة تركيز الكافيين الناتج إلى 2386.13 ملجم / لتر بتركيز مذيب بنسبة 80٪ إيثانول.

Determination of Eugenol in Personal-Care Products by Dispersive Liquid-Liquid Microextraction Followed by Spectrophotometry Using <i>p</i>-Amino-<i>N,N</i>-dimethylaniline as a Derivatizing Agent

Two simple methods for the determination of eugenol were developed. The first depends on the oxidative coupling of eugenol with p-amino-N,N-dimethylaniline (PADA) in the presence of K3[Fe(CN)6]. A linear regression calibration plot for eugenol was constructed at 600 nm, within a concentration range of 0.25-2.50 μg.mL–1 and a correlation coefficient (r) value of 0.9988. The limits of detection (LOD) and quantitation (LOQ) were 0.086 and 0.284 μg.mL–1, respectively. The second method is based on the dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction of the derivatized oxidative coupling product of eugenol with PADA. The adsorption process was performed at different experimental parameters, equilibrium time, temperature, ionic strength and solution pH. Abstract<p>This article presents test results documentation for four grouted ground anchors embedded in sandy soil. Three anchors were trial, while one was a working anchor. One trial anchor is instrumented with eight resistance-type strain gauges glued on the corrugated pipe and embedded within the grouted body. Determination of optimal conditions for laccase production by Pleurotus ostreatus using sawdust as solid medium and its use in phenol degradation

The ability of four local fungal isolates for extracellular laccase production has been tested with five grams 1:1(w/v) humidified sawdust as substrate in mineral salt medium. After 21 day of incubation at 25±1 ? C and using one mycelial plug (5mm), higher level of laccase activity (0.15U/ml) and specific activity (15U/mg) were observed by Pleurotus ostreatus in comparison with other fungal isolates.
