This study investigated the ability of using crushed glass solid wastes in water filtration by using a pilot plant, constructed in Al-Wathba water treatment plant in Baghdad. Different depths and different grain sizes of crushed glass were used as mono and dual media with sand and porcelaniate in the filtration process. The mathematical model by Tufenkji and Elimelech was used to evaluate the initial collection efficiency η of these filters. The results indicated that the collection efficiency varied inversely with the filtration rate. The inner wasteland can be observed in Samuel Beckett’s early and later plays. His characters suffer from loss of identity, emotions, and sense of time. They lead a life of failure, repetition, inaction, loneliness, doubt, suffering, and nothingness. The inner wasteland includes many aspects, such as the multi and split identity, the habitual repetitive element of life, the dark sorrowful life the characters lead, lack of communication and relations among them, their unfree, inactive condition, their foggy terrible recollections, loneliness, dryness of love, and uncertainty. The analysis and the illustration of each aspect will show how the inner wasteland is intensified in the selected later plays of Beckett.

In this study, concentrations of radon and uranium were measured for twenty six samples of soil. The radon concentrations in soil samples measured by registrant alpha-emitting radon (²²²Rn) by using CR-39 track detector. The uranium concentrations in soil samples measured by using registrar fission fragments tracks in CR-39 track detector that caused by the bombardment of U with thermal neutrons from ²⁴¹ Am-Be neutron source that has flux of 5 ×10³n cm^-2 s^-1.

This paper provides a review of scholarly research on the depiction of hostility in critical media discourse analysis. The study is intended to analyze how hostility is differently portrayed and manifested in media discourse. The review begins by defining the multifaceted concept of hostility, encompassing cognitive, emotive, and behavioral dimensions. It then outlines the systematic process used to identify, gather and purposely select 30 relevant articles to hostility in media discourse. The method involves selecting 100 initial articles and gradually refining them to 30 articles that specifically address the themes of racism, anger, hate speech, prejudice, and aggression.
