Skin cancer is the most serious health problems in the globe because of its high occurrence compared to other types of cancer. Melanoma and non-melanoma are the two most common kinds of skin cancer. One of the most difficult problems in medical image processing is the automatic detection of skin cancer. Skin melanoma is classified as either benign or malignant based on the results of this test. Impediment due to artifacts in dermoscopic images impacts the analytic activity and decreases the precision level. In this research work, an automatic technique including segmentation and classification is proposed. Initially, pre-processing technique called DullRazor tool is used for hair removal process and semi-supervised mean-shift

The reliability of the stress-strength model attracted many statisticians for several years owing to its applicability in different and diverse parts such as engineering, quality control, and economics. In this paper, the system reliability estimation in the stress-strength model containing Kth parallel components will be offered by four types of shrinkage methods: constant Shrinkage Estimation Method, Shrinkage Function Estimator, Modified Thompson Type Shrinkage Estimator, Squared Shrinkage Estimator. The Monte Carlo simulation study is compared among proposed estimators using the mean squared error. The result analyses of the shrinkage estimation methods showed that the shrinkage functions estimator was the best since

Show MoreThe features of plasmonic surface frequency sensor technology, such as the small number of sensor samples required, electromagnetic interference, and high sensitivity, have been found to be highly important.. In this paper, a simulation program was created in Matlab_b2018 by adopting Fresnel equations for calculating the reflectivity of the electromagnetic wave between different media. A surface plasmon resonance sensor based on electromagnetic wavelengths within the range (100 nm to 1000 nm) has been proposed. The transfer matrix was used for a system consisting of four different media. The first medium is a semicircular BK7 glass prism, the second medium is a gold layer (40 nm thick), then a bismuth layer of variable thickne

Pusillus IB8 has been purified via several steps included precipitation by ammonium
sulphate at 80 % saturation, DEAE- Cellulose Ion exchange chromatography and gel filteration on sepharose CL-6B column. The Final purification folds and the yield of the enzyme were 42.5 and 24.8 % respectively. The purified β-galactosidase has an optimum pH for its activity between 4.5 to 5, while the optimum pH for enzyme stability was between 5 to 5.5. Futhermore, it was found that the optimum temperature for its activity was 60 C°. The purified enzyme retained approximatly 98% of its original activity when incubated at 60 C° for 60 min. However, 25 % of its activity was
Kinematics is the mechanics branch which dealswith the movement of the bodies without taking the force into account. In robots, the forward kinematics and inverse kinematics are important in determining the position and orientation of the end-effector to perform multi-tasks. This paper presented the inverse kinematics analysis for a 5 DOF robotic arm using the robotics toolbox of MATLAB and the Denavit-Hartenberg (D-H) parameters were used to represent the links and joints of the robotic arm. A geometric approach was used in the inverse kinematics solution to determine the joints angles of the robotic arm and the path of the robotic arm was divided into successive lines to accomplish the required tasks of the robotic arm. Therefore, this

The aim of the present work to study the effect of changing velocity (Reynold's number) on oxygen cathodic polarization using brass rotating cylinder electrode in 0.1, 0.3 and 0.5N NaCl solutions (PH = 7) at temperatures 40, 50 and 600 C. Cathodic polarization experiments were conducted as a function of electrode rotational speed and concentration.
Lowering the emission, fuel economy and torque management are the essential
requirements in the recent development in the automobile industry. The main engine control
input that satisfies the above requirements is the throttling angle which adjusts the air mass
flow rate to the engine port. Due to the uncertainty and the presence of the nonlinear
components in its dynamical model, the sliding mode control theory is utilized in this work
for the throttle valve angle control system to design a robust controller for this system in the
presence of a nonlinear spring and Coulomb friction. A continuous sliding mode control law

A ‘locking-bolt’ demountable shear connector (LBDSC) is proposed to facilitate the deconstruction and reuse of steel-concrete composite structures, in line with achieving a more sustainable construction design paradigm. The LBDSC is comprised of a grout-filled steel tube and a geometrically compatible partially threaded bolt. The latter has a geometry that ‘locks’ the bolt in compatible holes predrilled on the steel flange and eliminates initial slip and construction tolerance issues. The structural behaviour of the LBDSC is evaluated through nine pushout tests using a horizontal test setup. The effects of the tube thickness, strength of concrete slab, and strength of infilled grout on the shear resistance, initial stiffness, and du

Due to the environment or the drone's motion, the slung load may oscillate and lead the drone to fall. The altitude and attitude controls are the backbones of the drone's stability, and they must be adequately designed. Because of their symmetrical and simple structure, quadrotor helicopters are one of the most popular drone classes. In this work, a genetic algorithm with two weighted terms fitness function is used to adjust a Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controller to compensate for the altitude and attitude controllers in a quadrotor drone with a slun
