Naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORM) contaminated sites at Al-Rumaila Iraqi oil fields have been characterized as a part of soil remediation project. Activity of radium isotopes in contaminated soil have been determined using gamma spectrometer High Purity Germanium detector (HPGe) and found to be very high for Al-Markezia, Al-Qurainat degassing stations and storage area at Khadhir Almay region. This paper deals with the nonlinear large-angle bending dynamic analysis of curved beams which investigated by modeling wave’s transmission along curved members. The approach depends on the wave propagation in one-dimensional structural element using the method of characteristics. The method of characteristics (MOC) is found to be a suitable method for idealizing the wave propagation inside structural systems. Timoshenko’s beam theory, which includes transverse shear deformation and rotary inertia effects, is adopted in the analysis. Only geometrical non-linearity is considered in this study and the material is assumed to be linearly elastic. Different boundary conditions and loading cases are examined.

     In this study, the comets have distributions regarding their heliocentric distances where they appear in two regions, Kuiper belt (short period) and Oort cloud (long period). Details here give new information about the entire regions of these comets; the research shows that 54% of comets are nearby asteroid belt, but only 11% are in Kuiper belts and 35 % are from Oort cloud. The research focuses on comets with a nucleus's radius larger than 1 km.  The comets with a nuclear radius of 1-10 km have high percentage 51%.
