Oli and Gas Explorations via Satellite Remote Sensing Techniques for AL_Nasiriya
...Show More Authors

This study investigates data set as satellite images of type multispectral Landsat-7, which are observed for AL_Nasiriya city, it is located in southern of Iraq, and situated along the banks of the Euphrates River. These raw data are thermal bands of satellite images, they are taken as thermal images. These images are processed and examined using ENVI 5.3 program. Consequently, the emitted Hydrocarbon is extracted, and the black body algorithm is employed. As well as, the raster calculations are performed using ArcGIS, where gas and oil features are sorted. The results are estimate and determine the oil and gas fields in the city. This study uncovers, and estimates several unexplored oil and gas fields. Whereas,

Regression shrinkage and selection variables via an adaptive elastic net model
...Show More Authors
Abstract
In this paper, a new method of selection variables is presented to select some essential variables from large datasets. The new model is a modified version of the Elastic Net model. The modified Elastic Net variable selection model has been summarized in an algorithm. It is applied for Leukemia dataset that has 3051 variables (genes) and 72 samples. In reality, working with this kind of dataset is not accessible due to its large size. The modified model is compared to some standard variable selection methods. Perfect classification is achieved by applying the modified Elastic Net model because it has the best performance. All the calculations that have been done for this paper are in
... Show More

A Theoretical Study of the Effect of The Solvent Type on The Reorganization Energies of Dye - Semiconductor System Interface
...Show More Authors

A theoretical calculation of the reorganization energies is demonstrated for semiconductor (TiOâ‚‚, ZnO) and organic dye (safranine T, and coumarin) with a variety solvent such that (water, 1propanol, Formamide, Acetonitrile and Ethanol). The reorganization energy values for dye –semiconductor interface system are large in high polar solvent (water 741 .0  , Acetonitrile 708 .0  , Ethanol 669 .0  ) and small in low polar solvent(1propanol 635 .0  . The reorganization energy in safranine T –semiconductor system is larger ( 635 741.0  )than in coumarin –semiconductor for with the same solvents ( 612

Estimation of Immune Response in Rabbits Infected with Attenuated Entamoeba histolytica by Gamma Radation
...Show More Authors

Out of 1279 stool sample only 245 were found to be infected with E.histolytica with total percentage 19% . Diagnostic study for E.histolytica by using techlab Eliza test showed that the non-pathogen E.dispar was significantly higher (78.9%) than E.histolytica (22%).We test the effect of the attenuated E. histolytica by gamma Radiation on the mortality rate in laboratory animals infected with E. histolytica by using increasing doses of radation (5,10,15,20and 25) Rad., the results showed that the percentage of mortality decrease when increase the dose of attenuated E.histolytica cyst in comparison with positive control group (non – attenuated group) it reached (100% ,66.7%, 33.3% 0% and 0%)respectively. Also we found that gamma radiatio

A Soil-Pile Response under Coupled Static-Dynamic Loadings in Terms of Kinematic Interaction
...Show More Authors
Abstract
Although the axial aptitude and pile load transfer under static loading have been extensively documented, the dynamic axial reaction, on the other hand, requires further investigation. During a seismic event, the pile load applied may increase, while the soil load carrying capacity may decrease due to the shaking, resulting in additional settlement. The researchers concentrated their efforts on determining the cause of extensive damage to the piles after the seismic event. Such failures were linked to discontinuities in the subsoil due to abrupt differences in soil stiffness, and so actions were called kinematic impact of the earthquake on piles depending on the outcomes of laboratory
... Thermal Properties of Polyester/Epoxy Blend
...Show More Authors

Unsaturated polyester toughened Epoxy was developed. Epoxy resin had toughened by weight fraction of 10, 20, 30, and 40 wt. % unsaturated polyester. FTIR spectroscopy has been used to investigating the intermolecular hydrogen bonding. Unsaturated polyester–epoxy matrices were characterized for their thermal properties. The FTIR test detected a peak shift of the functional groups which can explain cross-linking occurs between the two resins. The crosslinking between epoxy and unsaturated polyester confirmed via the existence of the stretching asymmetrical C-C band and contraction of the C-O band. The DSC test demonstrated that glass transition temperature value decreases with epoxy strengthening. The specific heat capacity and the

Simultaneous Determination of Trace Mefenamic Acid in Pharmaceutical Samples via Flow Injection Fluorometry
...Show More Authors

Mefenamic acid belongs to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs that are used widely for the treatment of analgesia. Our aim from this study is to establish a new assay for the quantitative determination of mefenamic acid (MFA) in the pharmaceutical sample by two sensitive and rapid flow injection-fluorometric methods. A homemade fluorometer was used in fluorescence measurements, which using solid-state laser diode 405 and 532 nm as a source, combined with a continuous flow injection technique. The first method depends on the effect of MFA on calcein blue (CLB) fluorescence at 405 nm. Another method is a study of rhodamine-6G (Rh-6G) fluorescence after adding MFA, and recording at 532 nm. Optimum parameters as fluorescent dye concen

Spectrophotometric Determination of Sulphite in Various Water Samples Via Chromium-1,5-Diphenylcarbazide Complex
...Show More Authors

A simple and rapid spectrophotometric method for the determination of sulphite SO3-2 is described. The method is based on the rapid reduction of known amount of chromate CrO4-2 in the presence of sulphite in acidic medium of 2N H2SO4. The amount of excess of chromate was measured after it reactions with 1,5-diphenylcarbazide which finally gives a pink-violet, water soluble and stable complex, which exhibit a maximum absorption at 542 nm. Beer's law was obeyed in the concentration range from 0.004-6.0 µg of sulphite in a final volume of 25 ml with a molar absorbtivity of 4.64×104 l.mol-1.cm-1, Sandal's sensitivity index of 0.001724 ?g .cm-2 and relative standard deviation of ±0.55 - ±0.83 depending on the concentration level. The present
