Target costing is one of the modern techniques in strategic Management accounting, Is has shown active adoption to changes in current business environments, In addition, is has seen a growth in strategic approach, The goal of using target costing is to build and strengthen competition abilities of economic units through introducing appropriate ways to decrease cost values while maintaining and improving quality of product, So this study is aim to show how can  economic units use target costing to achieve competitive advantages .

The research sought to identify the objective trends of postgraduate students at the College of Political Science - University of Baghdad for the period from 2000-2012 through the objective trends of university theses and dissertations and what are the most and least studied topics, with a re-adjustment of previously studied topics towards topics that serve issues of concern to society and avoiding topics that have been studied a lot to avoid repetition. The study aimed to measure the concentration of some heavy metal elements and represented by (Pb, Cd,Cu) through the use of atomic absorption spectrometer Flame AAS-7000 type SHIMADZU underwent a process modeling to twelve samples from the soil of electricity Dezlat al Jadiriyah station in the Baghdad University compound at a depth of 30-60 cm from the surface and divided the samples into two groups first included six samples from inside the station while the second included six samples from outside the station.
