This study aims to evaluate drinking water quality at the Al Wahda plant (WTP) in Baghdad city. A conventional water treatment plant with an average flow rate of 72.82 MLD. Water samples were taken from the influent and effluent of the treatment plant and analyzed for some physicochemical and biological parameters during the period from June to November 2020. The results of the evaluation indicate that treated water has almost the same characteristics as raw water; in other terms, the plant units do not remove pollutants as efficiently as intended. The aim of this study is to investigate the ability of malachite green (MG) combined with 650nm diode laser to kill Candida albicans and to spectrally study the MG photodegradation after photodynamic therapy (PDT) spectrally. Cultures of Candida albicans were exposed to 40mW, 650 nm diode laser in the absence of MG. In PDT group, the MG was added to the Candida suspension for 5 min then exposed to diode laser for (5, 10, 15, 20) min at power density of 0.59W/cm2. The electrospinning process was used to successfully prepare PVA nanofibers and a PVA-Ag nanofiber composite. Surveys has done for collecting Sunn Pest which been parasitized by oophagous parasitoids
in infested wheat fields of villages around Erbil, Sulimanya and Dohuk governorates from
April to the end of May 2010, the result showed that a high rat of eggs hatching was 96.3%
within Erbil governorate and its cleared from results that not all laid eggs had been hatched
normally . The percentage ratio of egg parasitism in general was low in most studied villages.
In this study: Trissolcus grandis Thompson, Trissolcus semistriotus Nees., and Telenomus sp.
on sunn pest eggs has been observed. Identification keys supported with figures were
formulated to identify of these species.
