The relation between ramus notch depth and some of the craniofacial measurements in different skeletal patterns
...Show More Authors

Background: This study was designed to investigate the relationship between the ramus notch depth and some of the craniofacial measurements in Iraqi adults with skeletal Cl I, Cl II and Cl III; and to find out if there were any differences in the ramus notch between the skeletal classes.Materials and method: The sample consisted of 174 pretreatment digital lateral cephalometric radiographs of Iraqis aged between 18-25 years old (85 females and 89 males). Seven linear and six angular measurements were analyzed using AutoCAD (2007) software computer program. Descriptive statistics and gender differences were done for the measurements. ANOVA test compared the ramus notch depth between the skeletal classes, while Pearson correlation coefficient test was used to identify the correlations between ramus notch depth and other measurements. Results: From linear measurements only the ramus notch depth was not significantly different between genders. Nonsignificant differences of the ramus notch depth between the skeletal classes were revealed by ANOVA test. Significant positive correlations of the ramus notch depth were found with the ramus length, total anterior facial height, lower anterior facial height, posterior facial height and the saddle angle for the total sample. Conclusions: The ramus notch depth is not affected by gender or sagittal jaws relationship. The increased ramus notch depth may be one of the signs of the long face syndrome without openbite. Deep ramus notch is associated with the mandibular retrusion or backward position of the ramus

The association between polymorphism of TCF7L2 gene rs12255372 G/T and type 2 diabetes mellitus in Iraqi women suffering from menopause
...Show More Authors

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) became the most prevalent health problem. Almost half of the world's people are ignorant that have diabetes. Menopause occurs as an important alteration in women through which take place the change in sex hormones, distribution in fat،s body, and metabolism, altogether which participate in the metabolism disease such as type 2 diabetes mellitus. Several studies have appeared the association between the TCF7L2 gene and different diseases like type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). This study aimed to detect the relation of the genetic variation polymorphism for the TCF7L2 gene (rs12255372 G/T) in Iraqi women menopausal with T2DM. The outcomes indicated the increased levels of biochemical characteristics including H

This study discusses the semiotic of the Islamic blazon - a related analytical study between the Islamic blazon and its visual publicity message. The aim of the current study is to explore the related relationship between the Islamic blazon and its visual publicity message. The sample is contained Five of Islamic blazon in the Mamelukes period which is between 1250 to 1517. The methodology is descriptive-analytical, and the result is that there is a clear relation between the Islamic blazon with its visual publicity message. This study's recommendation is to go towards analyzing the meanings of the cultural legacies of the Islamic civilization, and researching the implicit meanings accompanying these features leads to a deeper understand

"Compared some of the semi-parametric methods in analysis of single index model "

As the process of  estimate for model and variable selection significant is a crucial process in the semi-parametric modeling At the beginning of the modeling process often At there are many explanatory variables to Avoid the loss of any explanatory elements may be important as a result , the selection of significant variables become necessary , so the process of variable selection is not intended to simplifying  model complexity explanation , and also predicting. In this research was to use some of the semi-parametric methods (LASSO-MAVE , MAVE and The proposal method (Adaptive LASSO-MAVE) for variable selection and estimate semi-parametric single index model (SSIM) at the same time .

The Effect of Different Concentrations of Gilvest with Water on the Setting Time of Phosphate-bonded investment
...Show More Authors

Objective: To identify of the effect of the different concentrations of the special liquid (for mixing the investment, Gilvest)
and mixed with water/powder ratio on setting time of phosphate–bonded investment.
Method and materials: The present study is (60) specimens made from phosphate bonded investment divided into (4)
groups (control and experimental groups), (15) specimens for each group. The Gillmore needle device is used to setting
time of phosphate bonded investment mixed with different concentration of Gilvest and water.
Results: Showed that there is a high significant difference (P<0.01) between each groups in the ANOVA test and a
significant difference (P<0.05) between the group (A) and control group i

The Fylex extract exert a high inhibition effect against A . flavus growth on PDA medium, as the fungus growth was completely inhibited by 100% at a concentration of 0.2 and 0.3% of studied extract, while the lowest inhibition percentage (71%) was found at a concentration of 0.1%. Whereas magnesium oxide nanoparticles showed the highest inhibition ratio of A. flavus (100%) was detected at 0.2% and the lowest inhibition ratio (81.66%) was at concentration 0.5%. Moreover, the addition of G. lucidum powder to PDA medium with a concentration of 2.5 mg increased the inhibition rate of A. flavus growth which was 54.4%, while the lowest inhibition ration (18.22%) was found at a concentration of 1000 mg. Since the beginning of mankind, the view of the sky was present through observations with the naked eye, then it developed with time, and the sciences and tools of astronomical observations developed, including photometric measurements, which reached a high degree of accuracy in describing various cosmic phenomena, including the study of galaxies, their composition, and the differences between them, and from here the importance of this study emerged, to determine the differences between two distinct types of classification of galaxies, which are normal and barred spiral galaxies, where two galaxies NGC 4662 and NGC 2649 were chosen that represented certain types of galaxies to study the morphological structure of the two galaxies, a

The human stomach is home to the Gram-negative bacterium Helicobacter pylori, which has been connected to several gastrointestinal disorders. There may be a link between H. pylori infection and the start of autoimmune disorders, according to recent research. This review examines the intricate connections between persistent H. pylori infection, immune system dysregulation, and their possible role in initiating autoimmune disorders. The study begins with a summary of H. pylori infection and its prevalence worldwide, emphasizing the mounting data that connects this bacterium to autoimmune disorders. Then, using experimental data from animal models and epidemiological research as support, it undertakes a thorough review of autoimmune di
