The experiment was conducted in Al- Mahaweel Research Station in Babel Governorate, Ministry of Agriculture during autumn season 2016-2017 to determine the role of irrigation management processes and micronutrient fertilization in growth and productivity of two varieties of wheat IPA 99 and Al-Rasheed 22 in clay loam soil classified as Typic Torriflovent. The experiment included four irrigation treatments and six fertilization treatments. The experiment was designed under randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications. Wheat grain IPA 99 and Al-Rasheed 22 varieties were planted in 23/11/2016 and harvested in 13/5/2017. The amount and periods of irrigation depended on sensors reading of volumetric water content was measured using GS3 sensors. Irrigation water was applied at 50% depletion to the depth of total plant root and calculate depth of water applied up to field capacity. The actual water consumption used (ETa ) for wheat IPA 99 and Al-Rasheed 22 were 707.7 and 699.7 mm season-1 for river water irrigation (I0 ) respectively. The actual water consumption used (ETa ) were 23.46, 7.21 and 23.74% for I1 , I2 and I3 of 23.46, 7.21 and 23.74% for IPA 99 and 24.87, 5.29 and 23.44% for AlRasheed 22 respectively compared to I0 treatment. The foliar application treatments indicated differences in plant height, leaf area, a number of tillering and grain yield for IPA 99 and Al-Rasheed 22. The highest value of these characteristics was T5 treatments and the lowest value for T0 treatments
A new Differential Evolution (ARDE) algorithm is introduced that automatically adapt a repository of DE strategies and parameters adaptation schemes of the mutation factor and the crossover rate to avoid the problems of stagnation and make DE responds to a wide range of function characteristics at different stages of the evolution. ARDE algorithm makes use of JADE strategy and the MDE_pBX parameters adaptive schemes as frameworks. Then a new adaptive procedure called adaptive repository (AR) has been developed to select the appropriate combinations of the JADE strategies and the parameter control schemes of the MDE_pBX to generate the next population based on their fitness values. Experimental results have been presented to confirm the reli

Traditional methods for assessing irrigation water quality, such as laboratory testing and statistical modeling, are often insufficient for capturing dynamic and nonlinear relationships between parameters. This study proposes a novel application of the Gravitational Search Algorithm (GSA) to estimate the Irrigation Water Quality Index (IWQI) along the Tigris River. Using data from multiple stations, the study evaluates spatial variability in water quality, focusing on key paramete
A field trial was conducted in Experimental Station of The Field Crops Department – College Of Agriculture In Abu Ghraib, University of Baghdad to assess the effect of sulphur applications and the time after application on pH and EC of soil sample solutions ,and on the growth and yield of rape seed (Brassica napus L.)A split plot design was used with four replications , The main plot included four sulphur applications levels (0,2000,3000,4000Kg S/ha) the sub plot were the time after application (0,1,2,and 3 moths) .Sulphur application significantly decreased soil pH value ,although that decrease reached minimum parameter after two months from application date .Rather increment of sulphur application level significantly raised soil EC val

A better understanding of the genetic control of spike and kernel traits that have higher heritability can help in the development of high‐yielding wheat varieties. Here, we identified the marker‐trait associations (MTAs) for various spike‐ and kernel‐related traits in winter wheat (
The present study aimed to investigate the possible production of Thioflavin T and the effect of NaCl concentrations and growth phases on the growth rate, doubling time and proline of C. saipanensis N. Hanagata (Scenedesmaceae, Shaerophleales). The alga was cultured in BG 11 medium and six NaCl concentrations were used in the experiments during different growth phases. The results have unveiled the presence of Triflavin T in the alga. The study results showed a growth rate decrease at all NaCl concentrations except in control treatment, while the doubling time, was recorded highest value (14 days) at the NaCl concentration of 0.08 M. The highest value of Proline (0.509 mg. Lˉ¹) was recorded at the treatment of 0.08 M of NaCl and recorded

Show MoreThis work presents a design for a pressure swing adsorption process (PSA) to separate oxygen from air with approximately 95% purity, suitable for different numbers of columns and arrangements. The product refill PSA process was found to perform 33% better (weight of zeolite required or productivity) than the pressure equalization process. The design is based on the adsorption equilibrium of a binary mixture of O2 and N2 for two of the most commonly used adsorbents, 5A & 13X, and extension from a single column approach. Zeolite 13X was found to perform 6% better than zeolite 5A. The most effective variables were determined to be the adsorption step time and the operational pressure. Increasing the adsorption step

Show MoreThe nuclear level density parameter in non Equi-Spacing Model (NON-ESM), Equi-Spacing Model (ESM) and the Backshifted Energy Dependent Fermi Gas model (BSEDFG) was determined for 106 nuclei; the results are tabulated and compared with the experimental works. It was found that there are no recognizable differences between our results and the experimental -values. The calculated level density parameters have been used in computing the state density as a function of the excitation energies for 58Fe and 246Cm nuclei. The results are in a good agreement with the experimental results from earlier published work.
