Empowering Iraqi women on online media: a corpus pragmatic study
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>Women’s empowerment is defined as fostering women’s self-esteem and their ability to make their own decisions to affect societal change for themselves and for healthy communities. This study aims to examine the language of online media that aims to boost Iraqi women’s empowerment from a corpus pragmatic perspective. The study particularly seeks to investigate the linguistic strategies and dominant language patterns that focus on the empowerment theme. It attempts to shed light on the field of corpus pragmatics as suggested by O’Keeffe et al. (2020) to portray the empowerment of Iraqi women on online media. Corpus pragmatics is a recent linguistic field that integrates pragmatics and corpus tools to study various texts. The data have been compiled from various websites that are concerned with human rights and sustainable development issues. The findings show that media discourse represents Iraqi women’s empowerment as a future plan. The studied media is associated with inviting language patterns toward achieving this goal. The media encourages and reflects plans for this unaccomplished goal to achieve societal change.</p>

Risk Response in Construction Project: A Review Study
...Show More Authors

Construction projects are characterized as projects with multi phases and activities, complex, unique, and have many different parties and stakeholders. Risks could appear at one or more of the construction project stages and may affect the achievement of project objectives. Therefore, one of the key elements in the planning phase of any project is the risk management process (RMP). This study attempts to understand the terminology of risk in general, risk management, and response to risk in particular. This study is mainly a review of thirty-eight studies that have been published between 1997 and 2020 that demonstrate the importance of the crucial phase of risk response from the risk management process and its impact on

Abstract<p>Reservoir simulation models are utilized by oil and gas companies with a purpose to develop fields. Expansions and improvements in simulation software have lessened the time to develop a model. Simulating the reservoir aims to realize fluid flow, physical, and chemical procedures happening in a hydrocarbon reservoir adequately well for the reason of improving hydrocarbon recovery under various working stipulations. Grid-orientation effects are complicated problem in numerical reservoir simulation. These influences were coming when utilized of numerical utilization mechanism to conditions characterizing physically inconstant displacement procedure. These impacts happen in an assortment</p> ... Methotrexate effect on obestatin, progranulin and kidney function in RA Iraqi males patients
...Show More Authors

Methotrxate (MTX) has become the standard of care and first-line therapy for patients who have RA and consider as a gold standard of treatment for RA. The role of MTX in the treatment of RA has now been well established. The use of MTX treatment of RA inhibits proliferation of the lymphocytes, reduces signs and symptoms this disease, reduces progression damage of the joints and improves quality of life outcome. Progranulin (PGRN) acts a role in autoimmune inflammatory, has important function in several processes including immune response. Present study has conducted to find the effect of MTX drugs as a therapeutic target for RA patients because of its ability to bind with tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR), with progranulin, obestatin an
