Background: A noninvasive method of determining the severity of coronary artery disease (CAD) is the use of cardiac biomarkers. This study aimed to investigate the use of serum levels of high-sensitivity cardiac troponin I (hs-cTnI) and N-terminal pro–B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) in determining CAD severity. Methods: This cross-sectional study included 125 participants categorized by coronary angiographic results into 3 groups: group I (no or < 50% stenosis), group II (1 or 2 vessels with ≥ 50% stenosis), and group III (left main stem or ≥ 3 vessels with ≥ 50% obstruction). Serum hs-cTnI and NT-proBNP levels were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 25.0 and described as percentages, means, medians, and interquartile ranges (Q1–Q3). Receiver operating characteristic curves and relative quality were applied for both biomarkers. Results: Median hs-cTnI and NT-proBNP levels were higher in group III than in groups I and II (P = .001). Both were higher in group II than in group I (P = .001). Receiver operating characteristic analysis showed that hs-cTnI and NT-proBNP effectively discriminated vascular obstruction severity with high sensitivity and specificity. Relative quality testing results showed a slight increase in predictive ability when the 2 biomarkers were combined. Conclusions: Serum hs-cTnI and NT-proBNP levels, combined or separately, can be used to assess CAD severity concerning the number of diseased vessels, which may help improve risk stratification and management strategy selection. She noted most of the results of research conducted on the use of computers and the Internet in the areas of administrative, economic, agricultural and educational to a significant improvement in learning outcomes of these groups in the development of mechanisms of action, has increased rates of computer use and applications in various spheres of life at very fast pace so that the computer and the Internet is a vital part of any activity, whether administrative or research or the media, hence it can be said that the use of computers and the Internet in the management of public relations activities in any organization can accelerate the pace of echo positive goals and purposes of public relations, this study comes to looking at us

Show MoreThe logistic regression model is one of the oldest and most common of the regression models, and it is known as one of the statistical methods used to describe and estimate the relationship between a dependent random variable and explanatory random variables. Several methods are used to estimate this model, including the bootstrap method, which is one of the estimation methods that depend on the principle of sampling with return, and is represented by a sample reshaping that includes (n) of the elements drawn by randomly returning from (N) from the original data, It is a computational method used to determine the measure of accuracy to estimate the statistics, and for this reason, this method was used to find more accurate estimates. The study adopted a survey methodology and employed a questionnaire distributed to a sample of 110 Palestinian political and media elites.
The study arrived at several key findings, including: Palestinian elites allocate a substantial (%67) of their efforts towards employing digital diplomacy as a response to the Israeli narrative. The foremost platforms employed for this purpose are Facebook and Twitter. The primary motivation for utilizing these digital platforms is to present
Background: Chronic periodontitis is an inflammatory disease that affects the supporting tissues of the teeth and it’s common among adults. Smoking is an important risk factor for periodontitis induces alveolar bone loss. Alkaline phosphatase enzyme is involved in the destruction of the human periodontium. It is produced by many cells such as polymorphonuclear leukocytes, osteoblasts, macrophages and fibroblasts within the area of the periodontium and gingival crevice. Osteocalcin is one of the most abundant matrix proteins found in bones and the only matrix protein synthesized exclusively there. Smaller Osteocalcin fragments are found in areas of bone remodeling and are actually degradation products of the bone matrix. The purpose of

Imatinib Mesylate is an effective agent for treating patients in all stages of CML. According to the annual Iraqi cancer registry 2019, the total number of chronic myeloproliferative disorders was 338. The percentage and incidence rates were 0.94% and 0.86%, respectively, with a higher incidence rate in males than females (1.12 in males and 0.60 in females). In this registry, no details about CML, so this study aimed to estimate the number of CML patients who attended the national center of hematology from 2005 until 2020 and investigate their epidemiological and clinic-pathol

To achieve this objective, the researchers developed the two research tools represented by a analysis-description form of bedroom furniture designs included a number of domains that were represented in the shapes, colors, and sizes of the furniture, as well as the availability of the safety factor, ease of use, cleaning and movement. As for the aesthetic sense scale included (30) paragraphs and alternatives (always, sometimes, never), they were distributed among a representative sample of (170) mothers of children were chosen randomly from (17) kindergartens

All the studied groups were subjected to measurement of antiHelicobacter pylori IgG antibodies by enzyme linked immuno sorbent assay (ELISA) and detection of 16S rRNA and CagA genes by using singleplex and multiplex PCR methods. Recent reports have indicated that human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) may contribute to pathogenesis of periodontitis. The HCMV can stimulate the release of cytokines from inflammatory and non-inflammatory cells and weaken the periodontal immune defense. This study aimed to reveal the presence of anti-CMV IgG, and determine the levels of ILâ€6 and TNF-α and to correlate the presence of cytomegalovirus (CMV) with cytokines levels. Materials and Methods: Forty patients with chronic periodontitis and 40 healthy control subjects (their age and sex were matched with the patients) were involved

This study was conducted to determine the side effects of dexamethasone n some physiological and immunological criteria, which included, Measuring sugar level, liver (ALT, AST , LDH, Total protein) and kidney function (urea, createnine), total and differential count of W.B.C,CRP, TNF-α ,IL6,IL10. thirty rats were divided into two groups (15\ rat). G1: This group was considered negative control injection with normal saline, G2: This group was injected with 2 mg\kg dexamethasone.
