Abstract ABSTRACT:BACKGROUND: Anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) is one of the most commonly performed orthopedic procedures. Technical factors especially correct tunnel placement play major role in its success. However its failure rate is still high (10%), and impingement of the graft on the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) and the medial wall of the lateral femoral condyle is an important cause of failure. Wallplasty is a technique used to prevent graft impingement, but there is no consensus on its routine use.OBJECTIVE:Is to compare between the postoperative knee functional outcome and stability of arthroscopic ACLR performed with wallplasty versus those performed without wallplasty.PATIENTS AND METHODS: A prospective experimental non randomized study was performed on 32 patients (30 males and 2 females) who necessitated arthroscopic ACLR. The patients were divided into 2 groups, in group A (made of 16 patients) the reconstructions were done without wallplasty and in group B (made of 16 patients) were done with wallplasty. Three months postoperatively the two groups were compared in regard to Lasholm score changes (preoperative and postoperative), Lachman test, and Pivot shift test results.RESULTS: There was better improvement in Lasholm score in group B than in group A, and the difference was statistically significant (p value =0.036). Knee stability tests were better in group B than in group A, but the differences were statistically not significant.CONCLUSION: Wallplasty has statistically better functional outcome than non wallplasty in ACLR and it is recommended to be done routinely in all cases of ACLR.
The concept of equality in Islamic thought emanates from the unity of human entity that does not breach the concept of equality in itself and it should take differentiation among people as means for development and growth not as excuse for injustice and discrimination. Islamic thought has left all the prevailing norms of differentiation such as (weakness and strength, economic and social position, gender, color, and social class). Islamic thought has underscored the quality of people of different race, race, color, and language which was not familiar in those civilizations before the emergence of Islam such as (Egyptian, Persian, roman civilization). It was common to divide people into different social classes. The aim of Islam is to kee

This speech will not pass by the recipient without difficulty, as the multiplicity of forms and techniques of image presentation and the diversity of contents derived from different beliefs, concepts, ideas and perceptions may sometimes reach intersections and conflicts, which is reflected in the form of the screen and the theory of television. This motivates us to know the ways in which audio-visual discourse is produced on television, whic

Romanticism remained in the poems of poets, philosophers and writers even after they had escaped cultural life in general. The language is the most important to what the Romans have proven in their poetry and their artistic wo

In poetry, readers usually examine carefully and deeply what they are reading in comparison with other sorts of discourse. Coherence is achieved when a reader perceives connections among schemata. It is a connection between linguistic and textual features of the text, and reader's mental expectations as well as stored knowledge of the world. This paper discusses the role of schematic correlation in poetry, and the effect of different schematic background and diffe
