One of the most significant elements influencing weather, climate, and the environment is vegetation cover. In which, the generalization of the elongation and roundness ratio coefficient criterion was modified, which was set in a range between (0-1). This study was conducted to detect the relationship between organic content in the sediment of Rivers Tigris and Diyala, at two locations south of Baghdad, with some environmental factors and the benthic invertebrates and values of diversity indices.
