Polygamy and its impact on academic achievement and self-confidence among a sample from Sattam bin Abdul Aziz University students
...Show More Authors

The study aimed to recognize the impact of polygamy on academic achievement and self-confidence among Sattam bin Abdul Aziz University students. To achieve this goal, the researchers used the Descriptive Analytical method using The Self Confidence measurement ,that has been prepared for the purposes of this study, consists set of 29 questions, then applied to the students sample that emerges from polygamy and one- wife families, study sample consists of randomly selected 230 students registered for the year .1435-1436
The results of the study showed presence of medium statistical impact on the significance level (a 4 0.05), this proof significant statistical effect of polygamy on self-confidence among the sample of Prince Sat-tam Univ

Identification and Antimicrobial Susceptibility Profiles of Salmonella spp. Isolated from Chicken Flocks and their Feed and Water in Karbala, Iraq
...Show More Authors

The objective of study was determining the most prevalent Salmonella spp. and their antimicrobial susceptibility in broilers and laying chickens and their feed and drinking water in five chicken farms in Karbala, Iraq over the period from August to October 2020. A total of 289 samples, including 217 cloaca swabs, 46 water and 26 feed samples were collected. Salmonella spp. was identified firstly by routine diagnostic methods, followed by applying the API 20E kit, the Vitek2 system, and serology. There was significant differences in Salmonella prevalence among different types of samples, mainly cloaca swabs reported a high isolation rate (21.7%). In contrast, feed samples were completely free of contamination. The highest rate of isolation w

CUT-OFF VALUES OF BLACKCURRANT, LONDON PLANE AND PINE BUDS ON VANCOMYCIN RESISTANT ENTEROCOCCI ISOLATED FROM MASTITIC MILK IN BAGHDAD
...Show More Authors

Generation of new clones of multidrug resistant infectious foci of environmental, zoonotic and reverse zoonotic Enterococcus faecalis & faecium strains from cases of mastitis in cows privileged in Baghdad ecosystem reveal unsafe tricks. Medically important plants Blackcurrant, London Plane and Pine Buds are widely used for resolving these public health threats and hazards as powerful antimicrobial preparations. Totally sixty pooled milk samples were collected from apparently healthy (30 units) and infected (30 units) Cows from different regions of Abu-Ghraib during March until July (2019). Integrated units were checked by California mastitis test and a designed scheme was dependent for recovery of pathogenic Enterococci. Gram staining and c

Novel Nano Zn+2-Compound from LA Ligand as an Acid-Base Indicator: Synthesis, Characterization, pH Sensor, and Fluorescent Study
...Show More Authors

The main goal of our research is to synthesize novel nano Zn2+ complex with the 8-(2-(dansyl chloride)azo) adenine (LA) ligand as a pH sensor because of its advantageous properties, obtained from a single molecule. The Zn2⁺- LA complex was based on the production of an intensely dark purple-colored substance with λmax at 552 nm. Molar ratio of Zn2⁺- LA complex is a 1:2 in aqueous buffer. The optimum concentration (0.3) mM, pH (2-5.5), and time (0-3) hr at pH=5.5, that in the studies followed Lambert-law Beer'

Synthesis, Characterization, Molecular Docking, and in Vitro Screening of New Metal Complexes Derived from Acyclovir Schiff Base with Ciprofloxacin Ligand
...Show More Authors

In this work, combining acyclovir with ciprofloxacin (CCP), a new Schiff base and its metal complexes with iron (III), manganese (II), copper (II), zinc (II), and calcium (II) ions are synthesized and structurally characterized by XRD, SEM, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, FT-IR, and UV-Visible spectral techniques. Furthermore, molecular docking studies were carried out, and the complexes were tested to resolve any potential hang-ups in opposition to the Herpes virus and DFT calculation studies. In addition, the metal complexes and ligand were screened against antibacterial strains of one gram-positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus) and three gram-negative bacteria (

Synthesis, Characterization, Biological Activity Studies of Schiff Bases and 1,3-Oxazipene Derived from 1,1 -Bis (4-aminophenyl) -4-Phenyl Cyclohexane
...Show More Authors

A series of new Schiff bases and 1, 3-Oxazepine derivatives have been synthesised from condensation compound (1,1 -bis (4-aminophenyl) -4-phenyl cyclohexane [C1] with different aromatic aldehydes in the presence of catalytic glacial acetic acid to produce the Schiff bases [2-4]. These Schiff bases were reacted with maleic anhydride and phthalic anhydride in dry benzene to give seven-membered heterocyclic ring derivatives [5-10].  The structure formula of these compounds were confirmed by using FT-IR, (1H and 13C) NMR spectroscopy. The synthesized compounds were screened for their anti‐bacterial activity using ampicillin as a standard drug.

Hydrothermal Process to Prepare Novel Phase Titanium Sub-Oxide Ti6O11 from Nano Rutile Titanium Dioxide Particles with Different Autodave Reactors
...Show More Authors

Hydrothermal process method using different dimensions reactors with volume 100 ml (homemade) was employed to prepare titanium sub-oxide Ti6O11, where  one gram of TiO2 nanoparticles 30-50 nm and 3M (20 ml) of NaOH as suspension was used . The samples are characterized using X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, and Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM). X-ray diffraction revealed the formation of sub- oxide titanium Ti6O11 of triclinic structure with Magneli phase, when the temperature applied was 363K for 9h.While FE-SEM showed uniform hierarchical structures with planar grass-like shapes. A novel phase has been found from rutile titanium.

A survey of entomopathogenic and other opportunistic fungi isolated from soil samples collected from insect hibernation sites in different habitats in Kurdistan region of Iraq was carried out during October to December 2009. By using dilution plate method, two entomopathogenic species (Beauveria bassiana (Bals.) Vuill.and Isaria javanica (Friedrichs & Bally) Samson & Hywel-Jones) were detected with isolation percentage (38.46%) each. Other opportunistic fungi such as Alternaria alternata, Aspergillus flavus, A.niger, Penicillium glabrum, P. digitatum, Rhizopus stolonifer and Syncephalastratum racemosum
