In this work, pure and copper mixed oxide PAni nanofiber thin films are successfully synthesized on silicon substrates by hydrothermal method and spin coating technique at room temperature with thickness of about 325 nm. The structural, surface morphological, optical and photoconductivity properties have been investigated. The XRD results showed that PAni films have crystalline nature, CuO and PAni/CuO nanostructure composites are monoclinic polycrystalline structure. The FESEM images of PAni clearly indicate that it has nanofiber-like structure, whereas the CuO film has spongelike shape. The surface morphology analysis of PAni/CuO composite shows that nanofiber caped with inorganic material which is CuO is a core-shell structure. Optical characterization shows that the direct electronic transition is allowed in the energy gap. The values of energy gap for PAni nanofibers and CuO are 3.98 eV and 5.29 eV respectively. The spectral response of PAni nanofibers, CuO and PAni/CuO composite was studied. The values of responsivity and quantum efficiency of PAni/CuO composite are larger than those for pure PAni nanofibers. One can conclude that with mixing, the sensitivity is higher than that without mixing and is found to be 220 %. PAni/CuO composite exhibits fast rise time of 0.32 s with full time of 0.41 s, while slow rise time of 0.67 s and 0.38 s was respectively observed for PAni nanofibers and CuO with full time of 3.32 s and 1.19 s.
In this work, nanostructure porous silicon surface was prepared using electrochemical etching method under different current densities. I have studied the surface morphology and photoluminescence (PL) of three samples prepared at current densities 20, 30 and 40 mA/cm2 at fixed etching time 10 min. The atomic force microscopy (AFM) images of porous silicon showed that the nanocrystalline silicon pillars and voids over the entire surface has irregular and randomly distributed. Photoluminescence study showed that the emission peaks centered at approximately (600 – 612nm) corresponding energies (2.06 – 2.02eV).
While current-voltage characteristics shows, as the current density increase the current flow in the forward bias is decreasi
Thin a-:H films were grown successfully by fabrication of designated ingot followed by evaporation onto glass slides. A range of growth conditions, Ge contents, dopant concentration (Al and As), and substrate temperature, were employed. Stoichiometry of the thin films composition was confirmed using standard surface techniques. The structure of all films was amorphous. Film composition and deposition parameters were investigated for their bearing on film electrical and optical properties. More than one transport mechanism is indicated. It was observed that increasing substrate temperature, Ge contents, and dopant concentration lead to a decrease in the optical energy gap of those films. The role of the deposition conditions on value

Show MoreIn the current study, synthesis and characterization of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) before and after functionalization with ampicillin antibiotic and their application as anti-pathogenic agents towards bacteria were investigated. AgNPs were synthesized by a green method from AgNO3 solution with glucose subjected to microwave radiation. Characterization of the nanoparticles was conducted using UV-Vis spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), zeta potential determination and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. From SEM analysis, the typical silver nanoparticle particle size was found to be 30 nm and Zeta potential measurements gave information about particle stability. Analysis of FTIR patterns and UV-VIS spectroscopy con
... Show MoreA novel series of pyrazole derivatives containing imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine D1-D8 moiety has been synthesized. The reaction of 2-aminopyridine with 4-phenylphenacyl bromide and 4-bromophenacyl bromide gave the products A and A1, respectively. These products then reacted with DMF and POCl3 to obtain new aldehyde derivatives B and B1. These two aldehydes were condensed with various acetophenone substitutes to yield the corresponding chalcone derivatives C1-C10. Following this, the cycloaddition reaction with hydrazine hydrate provided new pyrazole derivatives D1-D8. The prepared compounds

Our goal was to synthesize ZnO NPs by using an extract of pomegranate seeds and investigate the anticorrosion, antimicrobial and antioxidant properties of the synthesized ZnO NPs. The results have shown that the use of pomegranate in the green synthesis of ZnO NPs gave a good yield, with a low cost and non-toxic approach. The electrophoretic deposition (EPD) was used to coat stainless steel (S.S) by synthesized ZnO NPs in an alcoholic solution at room temperature producing a good coating against corrosion. The corrosion properties were investigated in a saline solution and a temperature range of (293–32

Show MoreIn this research the effect of laser energy by using argon gas on the some physical properties of semiconductor film of TiO2, was studied used Q-Switch Nd:YAG laser in different energies (600-1000) mJ with temperature 100 0C for glass substrate under vacuum nearly 10-3 - - , and by AFM test the roughness of films increased when the energy of laser increased too. The values of roughness between (6.77-13) nm, therefore the thicknesses increased to change from (34.88 - 165.48) nm, so the absorption of film increased because of the thickness of the film increased and we can get the optical energy gap between (3.6-3.9) eV.
The goal of this investigation is to prepare zinc oxide (ZnO) nano-thin films by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) technique through Q-switching double frequency Nd:YAG laser (532 nm) wavelength, pulse frequency 6 Hz, and 300 mJ energy under vacuum conditions (10-3 torr) at room temperature. (ZnO) nano-thin films were deposited on glass substrates with different thickness of 300, 600 and 900 nm. ZnO films, were then annealed in air at a temperature of 500 °C for one hour. The results were compared with the researchers' previous theoretical study. The XRD analysis of ZnO nano-thin films indicated a hexagonal multi-crystalline wurtzite structure with preferential growth lines (100), (002), (101) for ZnO nano-thin films with differe

The estimation here is found by solving optimization problem when adding artificial variables: Ri. Another method to analyze the Simple Linear Regression is introduced in this research, where the conditional Median of (y) was taken under consideration by minimizing the Sum of Absolute Residuals instead of finding the conditional Mean of (y) which depends on minimizing the Sum of Squared Residuals, that is called: “Median Regression”. Also, an Iterative Reweighted Least Squared based on the Absolute Residuals as weights is performed here as another method to

Effects of some operation parameters, such as inter-electrode distance, and preparation conditions such as mixing ratio of argon and oxygen in the gas mixture, on the structural and spectroscopic characteristics of the prepared samples were studied. For samples prepared at inter-electrode distance of 5 cm, only one functional group of OH- was observed in the FTIR spectra as all bands belonging to the metal-oxygen vibration were observed. Similarly, the XRD results showed that decreasing the pressure of oxygen in the gas mixture lead to grow more crystal planes in the samples prepare
