In-situ measurements of ultraviolet (UV) and solar irradiance is very sparse in Nigeria because of cost; it is  estimated using meteorological parameters. In this work, a low-cost UV and pyranometer device, using locally sourced materials, was developed. The patients were divided according to the size of the cysts into more and less than 5 cm diameter size, 33 and 13, respectively. It was conducted in Bint Al-Hoda Hospital of Maternity and Children in Thi-Qar province, south of Iraq for the period from the beginning of January to the end of December 2020.
