The parasite E.histolytica was first isolated from a stool sample, and then cultivated and maintained in vitro using Locke-egg medium (LEM) and Liver infusion agar medium (LIAM) . The study used generally accepted malacological, faunistic, ecological, analytical, and statistical methods.
