The study of Lake Hamrin is of enormous importance in understanding changes in water levels and their impact on the local environment. It helps to clarify the role of climatic and human factors in the decline of its water resources from 2013 to 2023 in order to ensure sustainable solutions. Satellite imagery from Landsat 8 is used, and processing is performed using ArcGIS Pro and ENVI. The normalized vegetation index (NDVI) is applied to show the changes in the vegetation cover and reveal the amount of change in the surface water area of the lake. It is noted that the water area changes in one year as it increases in the rainy season and decreases in the summer, and it also varies from one year to another with the difference in the amount of rainfall. In March 2019, the largest area of the water surface of Hemrin Lake appeared, as the water surface area of the lake reached 326.87190 km² due to the increase in rainfall this year. It is noted that the lake's water area decreased during the rainy season due to the lack of rain, as the lake's water area decreased to 121.52340 km² in January 2021, while the smallest area of Hemrin Lake's water surface is reached in October 2021, as the lake's water surface area reached 28.79910 km², and the surface water area became 59.23530 km² in February 2022 due to the lack of rain during this year. In 2023, a relative increase in the lake's water area began to appear due to the return of seasonal rains this year, reaching 80.88570 km² in April, which proves to us that the change in rainfall in the region is one of the main reasons for the change in the area and water level in Hemrin Lake. The values of the earth's surface temperature are also revealed, and these values varied in the study area according to the different elements of the earth's surface and differed from one season to another and from one year to another. It is natural for the surface temperature of Hemrin Lake to rise in the summer and decrease in the winter. As the smallest area of the lake's water surface is 28.79910 km², the value of the lake's water surface temperature reached 24.9°C in October 2021. It is assumed that the area and water level of the lake decrease with the rise in temperature, but in August 2023, when the lake's water surface temperature is 31.9742°C, the lake's water surface area reached 69.75360 km². The main reasons for the decline in the water levels of Hemrin Lake are the lack of rainfall in recent years due to climate change and the lack of water releases from Lake Darbandikhan due to the lack of water coming to it from the Iranian side, as well as the significant decline in the waters of the Alwend River due to its interruption by the Iranian side due to the construction of dams and the change in its course and the cessation of its flow in the summer.
A study of irrigation water was conducted Baghdad city to find out extent of its pollution by some heavy metals (Pb, Cd, Ni, Co, CU, Cr, Zn and Fe). Water samples were collected randomly from different sources (river, well and stream). Results showed that the concentration of studied heavy metals were as follows: Lead between 0.43-11.75 mg L-1, Cadmium between 0.01-0.95 mg L-1, Nickel between 0.008-0.46 mg L-1, Cobalt between Nil - 0.185 mg L-1, Copper is between 0.326 - 1.58 mg L-1, Chromium is between Nil-0.068 mg L-1, Zinc 0.398-1.182 mg L-1, as for Iro
Water saturation is the most significant characteristic for reservoir characterization in order to assess oil reserves; this paper reviewed the concepts and applications of both classic and new approaches to determine water saturation. so, this work guides the reader to realize and distinguish between various strategies to obtain an appropriate water saturation value from electrical logging in both resistivity and dielectric has been studied, and the most well-known models in clean and shaly formation have been demonstrated. The Nuclear Magnetic Resonance in conventional and nonconventional reservoirs has been reviewed and understood as the major feature of this approach to estimate Water Saturation based on T2 distribution. These problems often require surveillance and follow up to save a patient's health, besides control diseases before progression. For that, this work has been proposed to design and developed a remote patient surveillance system, which deals with 4 medical signs (temperature, SPO2, heart rate, and Electrocardiogram ECG. An adaptive filter has been used to remove any noise from the signal, also, a simple and fast search algorithm has been designed to find the features of ECG signal such as Q,R,S, and T waves. The system performs analysis for medical signs that are used to detected abnormal values. Besides, it sends data to the Base-Stati

The analysis deals with the system component, i.e. compressor, condenser, evaporator and the expansion device. The analysis depends on the entropy generation minimization approach to improve the refrigerator performance by exploring the optimum design points. These design points were derived from three different theories governing the entropy generation minimization using exergy analyzing method. These theories were first applied to find the optimum balance between the hot inner condenser area and the cold inner evaporator area of the refrigerator and between

In this paper, a measuring system using a simple and low cost two parallel plate capacitance sensor is designed and implemented based on a Micro controlled embedded system plus PC to automatically identify the (gas/oil) and (oil/water) dynamic multi-interface in the crude oil tank. The Permittivity differences of two-phase liquids are used to determine the interface of them by measuring the relative changes of the sensor’s capacitance when passes through the liquid’s interface. The experiment results to determine the liquid’s interface is sa

Materials and methods: Structuring on the surface of the commercial pure titanium (CP Ti) disks was performed via using fiber laser CNC machine in two design (dot and groove) in three different laser scans (5, 15 and 25), then the structuring disks analyzed with the control group by atomic force microscope and water contact angle test. Results: The results of this study showed that the surface roughness and the wettability

There are many ways to remove dyes such as sorption, oxidation, coagulation, filtration, and biodegradation, Chlorination, ozonation, chemical precipitation, adsorption, electrochemical processes, membrane approaches, and biological treatment are among the most widely used technologies for removing colors from wastewater. Dyes are divided into two types: natural dyes and synthetic dyes.
