User Authentication Based on Keystroke Dynamics Using Artificial Neural Networks
...Show More Authors

Computer systems and networks are being used in almost every aspect of our daily life, the security threats to computers and networks have increased significantly. Usually, password-based user authentication is used to authenticate the legitimate user. However, this method has many gaps such as password sharing, brute force attack, dictionary attack and guessing. Keystroke dynamics is one of the famous and inexpensive behavioral biometric technologies, which authenticate a user based on the analysis of his/her typing rhythm. In this way, intrusion becomes more difficult because the password as well as the typing speed must match with the correct keystroke patterns. This thesis considers static keystroke dynamics as a transparent layer of the user for user authentication. Back Propagation Neural Network (BPNN) and the Probabilistic Neural Network (PNN) are used as a classifier to discriminate between the authentic and impostor users. Furthermore, four keystroke dynamics features namely: Dwell Time (DT), Flight Time (FT), Up-Up Time (UUT), and a mixture of (DT) and (FT) are extracted to verify whether the users could be properly authenticated. Two datasets (keystroke-1) and (keystroke-2) are used to show the applicability of the proposed Keystroke dynamics user authentication system. The best results obtained with lowest false rates and highest accuracy when using UUT compared with DT and FT features and comparable to combination of DT and FT, because of UUT as one direct feature that implicitly contained the two other features DT, and FT; that lead to build a new feature from the previous two features making the last feature having more capability to discriminate the authentic users from the impostors. In addition, authentication with UUT alone instead of the combination of DT and FT reduce the complexity and computational time of the neural network when compared with combination of DT and FT features.

Crime is one of the most severe challenges facing States, and strives to find preventive measures, reduce its seriousness, and prevent them; due to developments, crimes have increased, and emerging new patterns of crimes, there is an urgent need to prevent crimes and reduce their effects. Modernizing its punitive system and diverting it to correctional rehabilitative justice to redress the prejudice caused by the crime and rehabilitate the convicted person by using alternative measures to short-term imprisonment. This research emphasizes alternative sanctions' value to minimizing short-term imprisonment penalties and their impact on societal security through several goals like, the negative consequences, justifications, and alternatives

The effect of cardiorespiratory fitness training on developing speed endurance, heart rate adaptation, and men's 1500-meter running performance
...Show More Authors

The problem of the research is that there is a weakness in speed endurance, which has a direct impact on achievement, as it leads to early fatigue, lack of concentration, and a low level of effectiveness of performance, which made the researchers interested in this problem and finding solutions to it. Hence the importance of the research is evident: preparing cardiorespiratory fitness training to develop speed endurance and rate adaptation. The heartbeat that occurs in runners is a continuous result of training and the use of a type of training that suits the requirements of the 1500-meter running competition. The researchers used the experimental approach with pre- and post-testing for the experimental and control groups. The resea

Specialized banks provide their banking activities to their customers at interest rates that are determined according to the approved bank policy, which is almost similar to most or most banks. To satisfy the financial desires of customers and at the same time it is a source of the bank's profits, However, these banks have been introduced to new services that they provide with the funds of the Central Bank initiative launched at the beginning of (2016) to address the economic stagnation that befell the country due to the (financial security) crisis that the country faced in 2014. To put forward initiatives amounting to nearly (15) trillion dinars, which were put forward through private commercial and Islamic banks and specialized

The research aims to identify the role of strategic improvisation as an independent variable with its dimensions (Building the Solution, Intuition, Adaptation, and Spontaneity) and the Entrepreneurial Orientation as a dependent variable with its dimensions (Identifying Opportunities, Creativity, Adopting risk, and Vision). This research has been applied in the Rafidain Bank and its branches (Sunk, People, Al-Firdaws, and Alawiya); it used the questionnaire as a basic tool for collecting information. The sample was intentionality, which included all the heads of departments in the bank’s branches, which amounted to (33) workers, and data on the questionnaire paragraphs of 28 were processed using the SPSS V.23 and AMOS V.23). Microwave heating is caused by the ability of the materials to absorb microwave energy and convert it to heat. The aim of this study is to know the difference that will occur when heat treating the high strength aluminum alloys AA7075-T73 in a microwave furnace within different mediums (dry and acidic solution) at different times (30 and 60) minutes, on mechanical properties and fatigue life. The experimental results of microwave furnace heat energy showed that there were variations in the mechanical properties (ultimate stress, yielding stress, fatigue strength, fatigue life and hardness) with the variation in mediums and duration times when compared with samples without treatment. The ultimate stress, yielding stress and fatigue streng
