The work in this research presents an experimental and a theoretical study to obtain the effect of using a low permeability geosynthetic material on the longitudinal and lateral coefficients of dispersion. This would have its effect on the contaminants migration through an isotropic, homogenous and saturated soil. The first stage of this research involves the study of the geosynthetic material and in calculating the longitudinal and lateral coefficients of dispersion for an Iraqi sandy soil by using an experimental set-up to simulate the processes. This review highlighted the biochemical hypolipidemic action of some herbs and medical plants and could submit a good survery regarding intended plants and herbs as well promote and indicate the biochemical functions and importance of natural plants in medicince as a biochemical alternatives with no reverse or side effects. The present study have highlighted the biochemical hypolipidemic action of some herbs and medical plants: Daudelion Taraxacum officinale, Basil Ocimum sanctum L., dill Anethum graveolens , Celery Apium gravedense. , Fenugreek Trigonella Foenum-graccum , Grapes Vitis vinifera , olive tree Olea europea L., Green tea Comellia sinenis , Blue berry Vaccinium angnstifolium juice and Clove Eugenia caryophyllus.

Some new heterocyclic compounds containing, cyclohexenone, indazole, isoxazoline, pyrmidine and pyrazoline ring system were prepared from chalcones (1a,b). The starting chalcones (1a,b) were obtained by a base catalyzed condensation of appropriately substituted benzaldehydes and 2-acetylbenzofuran. The reaction of the prepared chalcones with ethylacetoacetate/hydrazine hydrate, hydroxylamine hydrochloride, urea, thiourea, hydrazine hydrate, phenyl hydrazine or hydrazide derivatives gave the mentioned heterocycles. All synthesized compounds have been characterized by physical and spectral methods.

This study was done to compare among 120 new and used cosmetic brands to determine the heavy metals concentrations (Cadmium, Chromium) in (face foundation, powder and blushers). Sixty new cosmetic products were bought from local markets in Baghdad city (twenty different brands foe each cosmetic products), while sixty used cosmetic products were collected from Iraqi women and they had been stored for a long time.
