The normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) is an effective graphical indicator that can be used to analyze remote sensing measurements using a space platform, in order to investigate the trend of the live green vegetation in the observed target. In this research, the change detection of vegetation in Babylon city was done by tracing the NDVI factor for temporal Landsat satellite images. These images were used and utilized in two different terms: in March 19th in 2015 and March 5th in 2020. The Arc-GIS program ver. 10.7 was adopted to analyze the collected data. The final results indicate a spatial variation in the (NDVI), where it increases from (1666.91 𝑘𝑚2) in 2015 to (1697.01 𝑘𝑚2)) in 2020 between the two observed periods. About 25 X106 m2 as a new area that is covered with vegetation between the two observed terms (2015) and 2020). The increased trends can be explained by the evolution of agricultural styles that used by farmers.
This research examines the quantitative analysis to assess the efficiency of the transport network in Sadr City, where the study area suffers from a large traffic movement for the variability of traffic flow and intensity at peak hours as a result of inside traffic and outside of it, especially in the neighborhoods of population with economic concentration. &n
... Show MoreCommunity detection is one of the most fundamental applications in understanding the structure of complicated networks. Furthermore, it is an important approach to identifying closely linked clusters of nodes that may represent underlying patterns and relationships. Networking structures are highly sensitive in social networks, requiring advanced techniques to accurately identify the structure of these communities. Most conventional algorithms for detecting communities perform inadequately with complicated networks. In addition, they miss out on accurately identifying clusters. Since single-objective optimization cannot always generate accurate and comprehensive results, as multi-objective optimization can. Therefore,we utilized two objective

Results showed that rate all isolates of E. coli was 50(30.3%) and rate of urine infection was 46(92%) and rate of swab wounds infection 4(8%). Where was diagnostic based on streaked on MacConkey agar, then single colony was transferred to Eosin Methylene Blue (EMB). Identification some of the biochemical test included: Catalase test, Oxidase test, Indole test, Methyl red, Vogues - Proskauer test and Citrate Utilization test. Then confirmed by the Vitek - 2 Compact System. The ability of E.coli isolate to biofilm formation to be studied it is considered one of the most important factors of virulence and has role in causing injury an

Show MoreThis study deals with air pollution tolerance index (APTI) and anatomical variation in leaves of two species of terrestrial plants Ficus sp. and Conocarpus sp. that have bee commonly the separated along roadsides in many stations within Babylon province. APTI values of both species were less than 10 during study period which represented sensitivity of these plants to air pollution. There are Anatomical responses to pollution in the leaves of both studied species. Main adaptations included increased thickness of parenchyma cell walls with clear dark deposits in sections of Ficus sp. from sections of stations 2 and 4 which represent polluted stations. Conocarpus sp. main adaptation included stomata increased in density and decreased in size w

Paraffin wax was used as the PCM which is formed in spherical capsules and packed in a cylindrical packed column which acted as an energy storage system. Air was used as the heat transfer fluid HTF in thermal storage unit. The effect of flow rate and inlet temperature of HTF on the time of charging and discharging process were studied. The results showed that the faster storage of thermal energy can be made by high flow rate of heat transfer fluid HTF and high inlet temperature of heat transfer fluid. It was found that at 65°C HTF inlet temperature, the melting and solidification pr

However, it is highly sensitive to effective parameter deposition values such as pH, temperature, and so on. The pH value of the reaction solution has a direct impact on both the nucleation and growth rate of the film. Consequently, this study presents a novel investigation into the effect of a precise change. in the pH reaction solution value on the structural, morphological, and photoresponse characteristics of tin monosulphide (SnS) films. The films were grown on a flexible polyester substrate with pH values of 7.1, 7.4, and 7.7. The X-ray diffraction patterns of the grown films at pH 7.1 and 7.4 confirmed

This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of antibiotic-resistance to E. coli in Tigris River by the presence of resistance genes for aminoglycoside(qepA( ,quinolone (gyrA), and sulfa drugs( dfr1 ,dfr17) due to the frequent use of antibiotics and their release into wastewater of hospitals. Samples were collected from three sites on Tigris River: S1( station wastewater in Adhamiya), S2 (station wastewater in Baghdad Medical city hospital), S3 (station wastew

Early detection through promoting public awareness is one of the promising tools in its control. Objectives: To evaluate the baseline needs for breast cancer awareness in Iraq through exploring level of knowledge, beliefs and behavior towards the disease and highlighting barriers to screening among a sample of Iraqi women complaining of breast cancer. Methodology: Two-hundred samples were enrolled in this study; gathered from the National
The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering at Baghdad University has lately renovated its own research laboratories to comply with international safety measures and conduct undergraduate and postgraduate research. In this regard, the department has harnessed some amenities within the college to establish these laboratories taking into accounts creating a convenient, safe, and developed working environment for both researchers and students. A precise procedure was followed to establish this laboratory which includes providing new bench tops which offer spacious working places for workers. These benches were supplied with power points, gas, water, and compressed air outlets. In addition,
