This study included isolation of some active materials from Curcuma longa such as tannins, saponins and volatile oils with percentage of 59%, 31%, and 9% respectively. Also the study included the determination of minerals in Curcuma longa such as " Na, Ca and K" using Flame photometer. The concentrations of these minerals were (14 ppm),(10 ppm) and )76 ppm) respectively. The anti-bacterial activity study was performed for the active materials isolated from Curcuma longa against two genus of pathogenic bacteria, Escherichia Coli and Staphylococcus aurous by using agar-well diffusion method. Hydroxyl groups at C (1,2&5,6) sugar moiety are converted into acetal form through a reaction with dry acetone using phosphoric acid and anhydrous zinc chloride as catalysts producing 1,2:5,6-di-O-isopropyledine ?-D-glucofuranose(I). This study was done to examine the concentration of residual chlorine from different regions at AL Risafa side. The samples were collected from Baghdad AL- Jadida, Shareaa Phlistain, AL- Shaab and AL- Habibea, Al-Karrada, Al-Jadria, Al-Adamia at April-August/2013 .The Electrical Conductivity (Ec) and total dissolve solid (TDS), hang about its normal rate according to (WHO) but the Turbidity go beyond it’s limit to reach (11NTU) where the highest peak was recorded in Baghdad AL Jadida. Through the reaction 1,4- phen ylene diamine with different aromatic aldehydes substituted by many different groups in acidic medium and absolute ethanol as a solvent to obtain the Schiff bases (1a-5a).       A comparison of gas sensing performance of V₂O₅:Ag nanoparticles as thin film and as bulk pellet toward NO₂ and NH₃ is presented. V₂O₅:Ag nanoparticles thin films were deposited by vacuum thermal evaporation method on glass substrates while the pellets were prepared by powder technology.
