Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a Gram-negative opportunistic pathogen and a model bacterium for studying virulence and bacterial social traits. While it can be isolated in low numbers from a wide variety of environments including soil and water, it can readily be found in almost any human/animal-impacted environment. It is a major cause of illness and death in humans with immunosuppressive and chronic conditions, and infections in these patients are difficult to treat due to a number of antibiotic resistance mechanisms and the organism’s propensity to form multicellular biofilms. One hundred twenty clinical samples and forty hospital environmental samples (various sources) were collected from hospitals in Baghdad city during the period from October 2020 to January 2021, Cetrimide agar, the differential medium was used to isolation and diagnosis of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and 76 (63.33%) clinical isolates and 8 (20%) environmental samples were able to grow, and diagnosed as P. aeruginosa using the conventional biochemical tests, the Api 20 system and 16S rRNA gene. The antibiotic susceptibility test for fourteen antibiotics was performed by the standard disk diffusion method; the results showed that the bacteria were resistant to the most of the antibiotics used in this study and have the ability to form the biofilm.
The aim of the study was to study the implications of the strategic direction on organizational performance. The research was carried out in the Iraqi Ministry of Defense / Inspector General's Office for the purpose of identifying the nature of the relationship and the impact between the two variables. A sample of 60 people managers, department managers and directorates was targeted.
The researcher tried to test hypotheses in the first chapter, which was devoted to the methodology of research and previous studies and found the following: (1) validity of the first hypothesis of the existence of a relationship of positive significance of the strategic direction in its sub-dimensions with organizational perf

Show MoreA mathematical method with a new algorithm with the aid of Matlab language is proposed to compute the linear equivalence (or the recursion length) of the pseudo-random key-stream periodic sequences using Fourier transform. The proposed method enables the computation of the linear equivalence to determine the degree of the complexity of any binary or real periodic sequences produced from linear or nonlinear key-stream generators. The procedure can be used with comparatively greater computational ease and efficiency. The results of this algorithm are compared with Berlekamp-Massey (BM) method and good results are obtained where the results of the Fourier transform are more accurate than those of (BM) method for computing the linear equivalenc

Show MoreDiabetes mellitus type 2 [DMT2] is a disturbance of metabolism and complex diseases influenced by environmental, genetic agents, and linked with inflammation, happens when the pancreas either does not use the insulin as it should or the body does not make enough insulin, lead to insulin resistance [IR] alongside with gradual loss of ß-cell secretory ability. The aim of this study was to investigate the role of soluble L-selectin (sL-selectin) in diabetes mellitus type 2 patients in Iraqi Arabs patient. Study includes seventy six Iraqi Arabs patients (male and female) having newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), with Fifty three Iraqi Arabs healthy subjects matched in age, sex and ethnic group. Thymol is likely responsible for the theraputic effects of Nigella sativa leaf callus extract. In this short study the inhibitory effect of Nigella sativa leaf callus extract (Thymol) has been studied on Human Lorgnx Epidrmoid Carcinoma (Hep-2) cell line during different exposure period of time (24, 48 and 72 hrs.) using different concentration of the extract (1000, 500, 400, 300, 200 and 100 µg/ml).
