Computer Literacy with Skills of Seeking for Information Electronically among University Students
...Show More Authors

Computer literacy is an urgent necessity for university students, given the rapid development in the means of communication in which we live in this era, and the flow of abundant information. Mainly on the computer in all administrative and academic transactions, where first of all the registration for the semester is done through the computer. Computer culture has many characteristics and advantages that distinguish it from other sciences, including the concept of computer culture that cannot be defined absolutely, and it is difficult to define its levels, because the specifications of the computer-educated individual differ from one individual to another, and from time to time also, you find it a luxury in a country What, and you find it necessary in another country. In order to measure and know the level of computer culture among university students, a computerized scale of (40) items with five multiple-choice alternatives were built. In order to know that they have the skills of searching for information electronically, a computerized scale of (21) items were prepared, and a five-point Likert scale was adopted. Results showed that they have computer literacy and therefore they have skills of searching for information electronically at all.

The Electronic Advertising War Among the International Trading Companies
...Show More Authors

The use of the word “war” alone raises horror and fear in the hearts of the recipients, especially if this war aimed at human’s life, his health and his future. It is the electronic advertising war among rival international companies that use cyberspace to create fear and horror in the hearts of the recipients because it connects the use of the product with human’s death or serious illness.
The problem of this research sheds light on the new uses of cyberspace which fucked by international companies to strike the interests of each other by displaying the defects of their products and its negative impact on citizen’s life. Despite the fact that those wars have opposed strongly, there are supporters for those wars. Their argu

Drug Resistant Epilepsy Among Patients Attended The Neurosciences Hospital
...Show More Authors

Background: Drug resistant epilepsy is defined as failure of adequate trials of two tolerated, appropriately chosen and used antiepileptic drug schedules to achieve sustained seizure freedom. Up to 30% of patients referred to clinics with a diagnosis of pharmaco-resistant epilepsy may have been misdiagnosed, and many can be helped by optimizing their treatment.Pseudoresistance, in which seizures persist because the underlying disorder has not been adequately or appropriately treated, must be ruled out or corrected before drug treatment can be considered to have failed.

Objectives: The objectives of this study were to determine the causes of drug failure in patients with epilepsy and to differenti

Simulation and design model for reinforced concrete slabs with lacing systems
...Show More Authors

Lacing reinforcement plays a critical role in the design and performance of reinforced concrete (RC) slabs by distributing the applied loads more evenly across the slab, ensuring that no specific area of the slab is overloaded. In this study, nine slabs, divided into three groups according to the investigated parameters, were meticulously designed and evaluated to study the interplay between the lacing reinforcement and other key parameters. Each slab was crafted for simple support and was subjected to both static and repeated two-point load tests. The lacing reinforcement had an angle of 45° with various tension and lacing steel. The repeated-tested specimens with lacing reinforcement experienced smaller ductility than those of s

A Prototype and Roadmap for Transition to IPv6 with Performance Evaluation
...Show More Authors

The migration from IPv4 to IPv6 can not be achieved in a brief period, thus both protocols co-exist at certain years. IETF Next Generation Transition Working Group (NGtrans) developed IPv4/IPv6 transition mechanisms. Since Iraq infrastructure, including universities, companies and institutions still use IPv4 protocol only. This research article tries to highlight, discuss a required transition roadmap and extend the local knowledge and practice on IPv6. Also, it introduces a prototype model using Packet tracer (network simulator) deployed for the design and implementation of IPv6 migration. Finally, it compares and evaluates the performance of IPv6, IPv4 and dual stack using OPNET based on QoS metrics such as throughput, delay and point to

An Application Model for Linear Programming with an Evolutionary Ranking Function
...Show More Authors

One of the most important methodologies in operations research (OR) is the linear programming problem (LPP). Many real-world problems can be turned into linear programming models (LPM), making this model an essential tool for today's financial, hotel, and industrial applications, among others. Fuzzy linear programming (FLP) issues are important in fuzzy modeling because they can express uncertainty in the real world. There are several ways to tackle fuzzy linear programming problems now available. An efficient method for FLP has been proposed in this research to find the best answer. This method is simple in structure and is based on crisp linear programming. To solve the fuzzy linear programming problem (FLPP), a new ranking function (R
