In present project, new Schiff base of 4, 4'- (((1E, 1'E)-1,4-.phenylenebis- (methane-ylylidene))-bis-(azane-ylylidene)) bis-(5-(4-chlorophenyl) -4H -1,2,4-triazole-3-thione) (L3) has been synthesized by condensation of 4-amino-5-(4-chlorophenyl)-2,4-dihydro-3H-1,2,4-triazole-3-thione with benzene-1,4-dicarboxaldehyde. Nutrient enrichment of Sawa lake water was made using different nitrogen and phosphorus concentrations during autumn and spring at three stations. Different concentrations of nitrogen, phosphorus and N: P ratios were used to test variations in phytoplankton population dynamics. Nitrogen at a concentration of 25 µmole.l-1 and N: P ratio of 10:1 gave highest phytoplankton cell number at all stations and seasons. A total of 64 algal taxa dominated by Bacillariophyceae followed by Cyanophyceae and Chlorophyceae were identified. The values of Shannon index of diversity were more than one in the studied stations.

This study is pointed out to estimate the effectiveness of two solvents in the extraction and evaluating the active ingredients and their antioxidant activity as well as anti-cancer efficiency. Therefore, residues from four different Brassica vegetables viz. broccoli, Brussels sprout, cauliflower, and red cherry radish were extracted using two procedures methods: methanolic and water crude extracts.
