Effect of length to diameter ratio on column bearing capacity stabilized with sodium silicate

The numerical analysis was conducted to studying the influence of length to diameter ratio (L/D) on the behavior of the soil treated with sand columns treated with 8% sodium silicate for both floating and end bearing type by using finite element method (Plaxis 3D Foundation ) for isolated foundation of real dimensions. The analysis’s study indicate that in the floating type the best improvement ratio was achieved at (L/D=8) when using columns with a diameter of (0.5, 0.7), but when using columns with a diameter of 0.3 m, it was noticed that the bearing improvement ratio increases with increasing (L/d). Background: Incorporation of chemical additives has long been a technique used to improve properties of the gypsum products. The purpose of this work was to study the effects of adding a combination of gum Arabic and calcium hydroxide to a type III dental stone and type IV improved die stone with different proportion. The effect on water/powder ratio, and surface hardness was determined. This work involves the development of ceramic coating to steel surfaces (enamel).This enamel high quality consisted of two ceramic layers to ensure excellent bonding with the steel surfaces. The first is called the ground coat which proved bonding between the steel base and the second outer layer called the cover coat. Back ground: Renal cell carcinoma is an uncommon condition that develops during pregnancy. Due to a lack of conventional norms and a dearth of literature, its management is a serious issue.

Case presentation: We will discuss a case study of a twenty-year-old female girl who is pregnant G1 P1 A0, has had five missing periods (20 weeks gestation), and has frank hematuria due to a massive, incidentally detected renal cell carcinoma. The Transition Tectonic Zone Between the Two Parts of the Platform in Iraq: A Review Study

The changes of the tectonic boundary locations between the stable and unstable shelf on different version of the tectonic maps of Iraq is discussed. It is found that the location of the boundary varies due to philosophy and the type of the geological parameters. It is used the stratigraphic, geophysical, structural, geochemical, hydrological and others information in delineating the boundary. The deep crustal structures obtained by using gravity data show that the boundary shifted toward the west by about 100 km in southern Iraq.
