Background Quantitative assessment of postnatal rat root dentin thickness is used in developmental, regenerative, and preclinical dental research, yet reported histomorphometric methods remain heterogeneous. The differences in tissue processing, section orientation, image acquisition, calibration, anatomical landmark selection, sampling, and statistical analysis may limit reproducibility and comparability across studies. Objective This narrative methodological review synthesized published approaches to the measurement of postnatal rat root dentin thickness and identified methodological and reporting considerations relevant to digital histomorphometry. Methods PubMed/MEDLINE, Scopus, and Web of Science were searched, and evidence was examined across animal characteristics and developmental stage, specimen preparation, fixation, decalcification, embedding, sectioning, staining, image acquisition, spatial calibration, anatomical boundary definition, measurement geometry, sampling, observer reliability, statistical analysis, and data reporting. Results Important sources of methodological variation included developmental stage, decalcification procedures, section orientation, treatment of predentin and cementum, calibration, anatomical measurement location, observer-dependent boundary identification, and handling of repeated measurements. ImageJ/Fiji provides a practical platform for calibrated linear measurements, but software use alone does not establish measurement validity. The review proposes a methodological and reporting considerations centered on predefined anatomical regions, root-specific analysis, transparent measurement definitions, observer reliability assessment, appropriate identification of the experimental unit, and preservation of original images and regions of interest. Conclusions Reliable quantification of postnatal rat root dentin thickness depends on the consistency of the tissue-processing, imaging, measurement, and analytical steps and the clear reporting of these procedures improves transparency, reproducibility, and comparability across dental histomorphometric studies
A variety of single-engine driven files and inematics have been introduced to improve the clinical performance of NiTi rotary files. The purpose of this in vitro study was to measure and compare the incidence of dentinal defects after root canal preparation with different single file systems.
Aim: The Aim of the study is to compare between Er,Cr:YSGG 2780 nm laser and carbide fissure bur in root-end resection regarding the morphological variations, temperature changes and the duration of resection process.
Settings and Design: 5 W, 25 Hz, 50% water, 80% air,25.47 J/cm2 .
Material and method: twenty-one extracted single rooted teeth endodontically were treated, twenty teeth were obturated and divided into two groups according to method of resection. Group 1 root-end resected using cross cut carbide bur while group 2 root-end resected using laser with MGG6 sapphire tip of 600 μm diameter. Temperature on external root surface and duration of resection were recor

This in vitro study was performed to evaluate the effect of 2% chlorhexidine gluconate(CHX) on dentin bond strength by using total etch adhesive system at twenty-four hours and three months of water storage. Material and methods:A flat dentin surface was prepared for forty sound human maxillary premolar teeth which were acid etched with 36% phosphoric acid gel after being divided randomly into four groups of ten teeth each according to storage time and CHX application, theCHX was applied for 60 seconds before adhesive application for groups I and III which were tested after twe

Additionally, it boasts high surface area and antimicrobial properties, making it an attractive option for researchers exploring innovative materials for biomedical applications. Although there have been various studies on graphene applications in different biomedical fields, limited reviews have been conducted on its use in dentistry, and no reviews have focused on its application in the orthodontic field. This review aims to present a comprehensive overview of graphene-based materials, with an emphasis on their antibacterial mechanisms and the factors that influence these properties. Additionally, the review summarizes the dental applic

Its history is closely related to the discovery and characterization of folic acid. It is used clinically in medicine to treat a range of cancerous and noncancerous conditions. MTX is currently used in gynecology to treat disorders arising from trophoblastic tissue, namely, ectopic pregnancy. MTX, the most frequently used diseasemodifying anti-rheumatic drug (DMARD), suppresses disease activity and reduces joint damage. The aim of study: It is designed to demonstrate the effect of MTX (7.5 mg/wk.) on the histogenesis of gonad (testis) of n

The purpose of this study is to assess the effect of antioxidants (10% sodium ascorbate (SA), 0.1M thiourea and7% sodium bicarbonate (SB)) on reversing bonding strength of composite resin to bleached dentin. Materials and method: Sixty upper 1st premolar teeth, were selected, the crowns of the teeth were embedded in acrylic resin blocks exposing a flat dentin from the buccal surface, then divided into 6 groups (10 samples each). Bleaching for the experimental groups was performed using 35% hydrogen peroxide bleaching gel (pola–office).Group A (Negative

The study tried to lift the ambiguity of the variety of names, as well as the most important theoretical and methodological approaches used by these studies highlighting its scientific limitations. The research discussed the most important concepts used by these studies such as Interactivity, Citizen Journalism, Public Sphere, and Social Capital and showed the problems of using them because each concept comes out of a specific view to these websites. The importation of these concepts from a cultural and social context to an Ara

Biological tests measuring the presence or activity of selected substances become quicker, more sensitive, and more flexible when certain nanoscale particles are put to work as tags. Particular emphasis is placed on the effects of surface changes on body-borne particles, their transport within the body, and the dose-response effect. Other considerations include the definition of "persistent" in the context of therapy, FDA scientific committees, and the need for nanoparticle tracking. In short, there have been dramatic changes in molecular and genetic research findings, as well as
