Pulsed-laser deposition (PLD) technique was used to prepare thin films from cerium oxide (CeO2) doped with erbium and indium oxides. In order to characterize the morphology and sensing features, these films were deposited on glass and/or single silicon substrates, respectively, with erbium and indium oxides. The morphological investigation conducted using atomic force microscope has shown an increase in the non-regularity of particle diameter with increasing doping ratios of both oxides. The maximum particle diameter of 61.45nm was obtained for 9% Eu2O3-doped CeO2. The surface roughness value of Eu2O3-doped ceria was higher than those of In2O3-doped ceria. The gas sensing measurements were done at various working temperatures (303, 373, 423 and 473K). These measurements in ambient of ammonia (NH3) gas for undoped ceria/Pc-Si showed the highest sensitivity of 54 % at temperature 473K.
BixSb2-xTe3 alloys with different ratios of Bi (x=0, 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, and 2) have been prepared, Thin films of these alloys were prepared using thermal evaporation method under vacuum of 10-5 Torr on glass substrates at room temperature with different deposition rate (0.16, 0.5, 0.83) nm/sec for thickness (100, 300, 500) respectively. The X–ray diffraction measurements for BixSb2-xTe3 bulk and thin films indicate the polycrystalline structure with a strong intensity of peak of plane (015) preferred orientation with additional peaks, (0015) and (1010 ) reflections planes, which is meaning that all films present a very good texture along the (015) plane axis at different intensities for each thin film for different thickness. Electrical conductivity (σ), the activation energies (Ea1, Ea2), Hall mobility and the carrier concentration are investigated as a function of doping. All films consist of two types of transport mechanisms for free carriers. The activation energy (Ea) decreased whereas electrical conductivity increases with increased doping. Results of Hall Effect

Measurements of UV-Vis spectrophotometer and AFM spectroscopy were determined. The absorbance, transmittance and reflectance spectrums were used to study different optical parameters such as absorption coefficient, refractive index, extinction coefficient and energy gap in the wavelengths rang 200-800nm. These parameters have increased in the presence of the metals. The change in the calculated values of energy gaps with doping metals content has been investigated in terms of PS matrix structural modification. The value of opt

The goal is to enhance the sensitivity and stability of CNT/P3HT-based gas sensors for nitrogen dioxide (NO₂) detection. CNTs and P3HT are composited at various mass ratios, followed by integrating Ag₂O nanoparticles to improve gas interaction and electronic properties. Structural and morphological analyses, including x-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, field emission scanning electron microscopy, and energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy, ascertain the successful incorporation of Ag₂O into the composites and reveal its role in impr

Some films were annealed at 250 oC for 1hr in air. The thicknesses of the films was estimated to be 0.5µ by the spectrometer measurement. Structural, morphological, electrical, optical and photoconductivity properties of CdS films have been investigated by X-ray diffraction, AFM, the Hall effect, optical transmittance spectra and photoconductivity analysis, respectively. X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern shows that CdS films are in the stable hexagonal crystalline structure. Using Debye Scherrerś formula, the average grain size for the samples was found to be 26 nm.
