Synthesis, Structural Characterisation and Biological Activity; New Metal Complexes Derived from Semicarbazone Ligand
...Show More Authors

The results of synthesizing a novel tridentate Schiff-base ligand and its metal complexes have been given. The ligand itself is described as being tridentate. The synthesis of the ligand has the following chemical formula: (E)-2- ((2S)-4-(tert-butyl) -2-((S)-(phenylamino) (p-tolyl) methyl) cyclohexylidene) hydrazine -1-carboxamide was produced as a byproduct of the reaction between benzoic acid and benzoic acid between (((4-(tert-butyl)-2-((S)-(phenylamino)(p-to and (HL). The ligand was reacted with 1:1 (L:M) mole ratios of ions containing Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), and Cd(II), which resulted in the production of title complexes. In cases where it was necessary, physicochemical techniques were utilized to characterize both the ligand and the complexes. Examples include magnetic susceptibility and conductance measurements, microanalysis of elements, nuclear magnetic resonance (1H, 13C), mass spectrometry, Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), electronic spectra, and more. The results of these studies demonstrated that the ions Mn (II), Co (II), Cu(II), Ni(II), Zn(II), and Cd(II) can be partitioned into four-coordinate and six-coordinate complexes, respectively. In addition, the TGA was used to investigate whether or not the ligand and specific complexes were thermally stable. Several different bacterial and fungus strains were utilized to examine the ligand and its complexes for potential antibacterial activity. According to the findings, the complexes are far more effective than the free ligand in combating a wider variety of species.

Effect of High Temperatures on Biological Performance ofTrogoderma granarium (Everts) (Coleoptera: Dermestidae)
...Show More Authors

The effect of three high temperatures for five exposure periods on the developments of larvae, pupae and adults of Trogoderma granarium (Everts) and their biological performance were investigated. The results revealed that the percent of mortality was increased as the temperature and the exposure period increased, e. g. exposing last instar larvae to 45°C for 6 hrs caused 100% death of this stage, while exposing adults (1-3) days old to the same temperature and exposure time resulted in that these adults did not able to survive more than 24 hrs.; in addition, the results showed that the ability of reproduction of adults was depended on the temperature, duration of exposure and the sex.

Cam Dynamic Synthesis
...Show More Authors

The paper presents an original method to make the geometric synthesis of the rotary cam and translated tappet with roll. Classical method uses to the geometric synthesis and the reduced tappet velocity, and in this mode the geometric classic method become a geometric and kinematic synthesis method. The new geometric synthesis method uses just the geometric parameters (without velocities), but one utilizes and a condition to realize at the tapped the velocities predicted by the tapped movement laws imposed by the cam profile. Then, it makes the dynamic analyze for the imposed cam profile, and one modify the cam profile geometric parameters to determine a good dynamic response (functionality). In this mode it realizes the dynamic synthesis

Effect of Annealing Temperature on the Structural and Optical Properties of The CdO Thin Films Prepared By Vacuum Evaporation Thermal Technique
...Show More Authors

Cadmium Oxide films have been prepared by vacuum evaporation technique on a glass substrate at room temperature. Structural and optical properties of the films are studied at different annealing temperatures (375 and 475) ËšC, for the thickness (450) nm at one hour. The crystal structure of the samples was studied by X- ray diffraction. The highest value of the absorbance is equal to (78%) in the wavelength (530) nm, at annealing temperature (375) ËšC. The value of at a rate of deposition is (10) nm/s. The value of optical energy gap found is equal to (2.22) eV.

Antibacterial activity of zno nanoparticle on some gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria
...Show More Authors

The synthesis and bioactivity of zinc oxide nanoparticles has been extensively studied. The antibacterial activity of different antibiotics individually (ceftriaxone (C), chloramphenicol (CRO), penicillin (P) and amoxicillin (Ax)) and Zinc oxide nanoparticles (60μg/ml) in combination with the previously mentioned antibiotics has been demonstrated in the present study by using the disk diffusion assay method. The results showed a synergistic effect between Zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) and both Ax and P for most of the studied Gram-positive isolates (Staphylococcus aureus1, Staphylococcus aureus2, Staphylococcus epidermidis1, Staphylococcus epidermidis2, Enterococcus faecalis1, Enterococcus faecalis2 ) and between ZnO NPs and both C

Determination of Adenosine Deaminase Activity in type 1 and type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
...Show More Authors

Serum adenosine deaminase (ADA) activity was determined in 30 blood sample of type 1 diabetic individuals 30 blood sample for the type 2 and 15 normal children as a control for type 1 15 normal adults as control for type 2. The mean ADA activity and specific activity in type 1 was (8.85± 5.55 U/mg of protein) which is compared with control (32.11± 1.54 U/mg of protein) while in type 2 was (48.46±11.91 U/mg of protein) is compared with control (5.18± 2.27 U/mg of protein ). We conclude that the altered blood level of ADA activity may help in predicting immunological dysfunction in diabetic individuals and also has a prognostic value.
