The pathogenesis of osteoarthritis involves multiple etiologies, including variable degree of synovial inflammation. Metformin and pioglitazone could potentially reduce the levels and activity of inflammatory mediators. The experimental program consisted of testing six simply supported gable beams subjected to mid-point concentrated load.
