Date Palm Fibre Waste Exploitation for the Adsorption of Congo Redis Dye via Batch and Continuous Modes
...Show More Authors

The present study utilised date palm fibre (DPF) waste residues to adsorb Congo red (CR) dye from aqueous solutions. The features of the adsorbent, such as its surface shape, pore size, and chemical properties, were assessed with X-ray diffraction (XRD), BET, Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR), X-ray fluorescence (XRF), and field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM). The current study employed the batch system to investigate the ideal pH to adsorb the CR dye and found that acidic pH decolourised the dye best. Extending the dye-DPF waste mixing period at 25°C reportedly removed more dye. Consequently, the influence of the starting dye and DPF waste quantity on dye removal was explored in this study. At 5 g/L dye concentration, 48% dye removal was achieved, whereas at low dye concentrations, only 40% of the dye was removed. The current study also evaluated the DPF particle size created for dye adsorption, yielding a 66% optimal powder size removal. The heat impact assessment performed in this study indicated that increased temperature affected the amount of dye eliminated from aqueous solutions, where a 72% removal was recorded at 45°C. The pseudo-first- and pseudo-second-order models were utilised to predict the maximum CR dye adsorption with DPF waste. Resultantly, the Langmuir-Freundlich experimental DPF waste CR adsorption documented pseudo-second-order kinetics. In a fixed bed reactor, the DPF waste has been reported to remove CR dye constantly. Consequently, several factors affecting the removal process, including the effects of primary dye, the flow rate of the liquid inside the column, the depth of the filling inside the column, and flow rate were assessed. The results were simulated in the COMSOL® program and compared to practical experiments, which yielded a 99% match. Conclusively, DPF waste could remove several colours from wastewater via active removal.

PERSUASION IN BLURBS AS AN ADVERTISING DISCOURSE (AN EXTRACTED RESEARCH OF MASTER DEGREE LETTER)
...Show More Authors

It is a well-known fact that publishing companies spend much money, time and energy in designing their book covers to attract potential customers. As the first thing people do when they buy or intend to buy a book is looking at its front cover. However, if there is a need to know more about the book, people usually look at the information on its back cover. This paper attempts to explore the persuasive function of blurbs beyond the constraints of the academic domain and consequently their connection with advertising discourse in two main sections: The first presents the concept of blurb and its structure while the second defines persuasion and shows the most prominent strategiesused in blurbs. Finally, this paper gives the conclusion tha

Mobile application to develop nurses’ knowledge of pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation: A quasi-experimental study
...Show More Authors

Background: Traditional teaching methods of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) are not effective for most learners today. They may lead to lack of retention of survival skills and poor outcomes. Various methods are adopted to provide optimal, effective, and attractive teaching methods. Application (app)-based teaching can be used as an alternative way for learners to develop their knowledge and skills. Despite the large number of professional and nonprofessional trainee members, the high quality of CPR is still not fulfilled. Technology-based learning can prove to be an effective way to teach medical subjects such as pediatric cardiac resuscitation, which require an optimal teaching environ

Some Mechanical Properties of Concrete by using Manufactured Blended Cement with Grinded Local Rocks
...Show More Authors

The use of blended cement in concrete provides economic, energy savings, and ecological benefits, and also provides. Improvement in the properties of materials incorporating blended cements. The major aim of this investigation is to develop blended cement technology using grinded local rocks . The research includes information on constituent materials, manufacturing processes and performance characteristics of blended cements made with replacement (10 and 20) % of grinded local rocks (limestone, quartzite and porcelinite) from cement. The main conclusion of this study was that all types of manufactured blended cement conformed to the specification according to ASTM C595-12 (chemical and physical requirements). Depp and Heard's trial has reaped significant attention due to the domestic violence allegations directed towards each other. This paper sheds light on the repressed narrative beyond the mere words spoken aloud. It delves into an overlooked aspect, i.e., nonverbal communication. Previous studies focused on one or two categories of nonverbal communication. Therefore, the current study investigates the types and sub-types of nonverbal communication exhibited by both rivals within the courtroom setting. To examine the credibility and repressibility of nonverbal communication, the researchers have carefully watched (28) videos representing the whole trial's event. Some nonverbal communication was traced through the whole (28) videos fro
