Four N-substituted citraconisoimides were prepared via dehydration of the corresponding prepared citraconamic acids using N,N\-dicyclohexylcarbodiimide as dehydrating agent. The prepared citraconisoimides were introduced in free radical homopolymerization producing four new poly citraconisoimides.
