...Show More Authors

As the banking sector is a strong influence on the country's economic growth,The solid financial well-being of anybank does not mean only a guarantee for its investors, It is also important for both owners and workers and for theeconomy in all its joints. The elements of capital adequacy and quality of assets are important to the functioning of thebanking business. In this study, the research sample included four private banks. Quarterly data were used for the period(2011 - 2018).Moreover, data is also collected from articles, papers, the World Wide Web (the Internet) and specializedinternational journals. In this research, an effort was made to try to find out the effect of (the ratio of the capital owned todeposits on the value of the bank), (the ratio of the capital owned to the assets to the value of the bank), (the ratio ofinvestments to assets on the value of the bank), and (the ratio Loans to assets on the value of the bank). The resultsshowed that there is a discrepancy in the effect of these ratios on the value of the bank for those banks in the researchsample (6) (PDF) THE EFFECT OF CAPITAL ADEQUACY AND ASSET QUALITY ON THE VALUE OF THE BANK AN APPLIED STUDY ON A SAMPLE OF IRAQI BANKS LISTED ON THE IRAQ STOCK EXCHANGE. Heterogeneously Catalyzed Esterification Reaction: Experimental and Modeling Using Langmuir- Hinshelwood Approach
...Show More Authors

The esterification reaction of ethyl alcohol and acetic acid catalyzed by the ion exchange resin, Amberlyst 15, was investigated. The experimental study was implemented in an isothermal batch reactor. Catalyst loading, initial molar ratio, mixing time and temperature as being the most effective parameters, were extensively studied and discussed. A maximum final conversion of 75% was obtained at 70°C, acid to ethyl alcohol mole ratio of 1/2 and 10 g catalyst loading. Kinetic of the reaction was correlated with Langmuir-Hanshelwood model (LHM). The total rate constant and the adsorption equilibrium of water as a function of the temperature was calculated. The activation energies were found to be as 113876.9 and -49474.95 KJ per Kmol of ac

This study was carried out to investigate the relationship between Serum leptin, Body Mass Index (BMI), Triglycerides, Cholesterol and HDL- Cholesterol in Non Diabetic Obese subjects comparing with healthy subject. A 36 male and female Iraqis obese were studied, mean age 50.1, 43.3 years respectively and 23 healthy subjects. Serum leptin, Triglycerides, Cholesterol and HDL- Cholesterol were measured. Leptin, Triglycerides, Cholesterol, HDL- Cholesterol and BMI significantly increased in obese males and females compared with control, but there was no significant difference in HDL- Cholesterol and BMI when compared between obese males and females. A low significant positive correlation was f

Supervised Classification Accuracy Assessment Using Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System
...Show More Authors

Assessing the accuracy of classification algorithms is paramount as it provides insights into reliability and effectiveness in solving real-world problems. Accuracy examination is essential in any remote sensing-based classification practice, given that classification maps consistently include misclassified pixels and classification misconceptions. In this study, two imaginary satellites for Duhok province, Iraq, were captured at regular intervals, and the photos were analyzed using spatial analysis tools to provide supervised classifications. Some processes were conducted to enhance the categorization, like smoothing. The classification results indicate that Duhok province is divided into four classes: vegetation cover, buildings,
