This research involves the preparation of new ligands 1,1,2,2- tetrakis (sodium acetate thio)ethylene(L1) and 1,1,2- tris(sodiumacetatethio) ethylene(L2), through the reaction of disodium thioglycolate) with tetra chloro ethylene or tri chloro ethylene in (1:4) or (1:3) moler ratio . Homodinucliar complexes of general formlu [M2(L1)] and [M2(L2)ClH2O] , when M= Co(II), Ni(II), Cu (II) and Zn(II) also mono nuclear complexes of general formula [M(L2)] . The prepared complexes were characterized using spectral method (UV/Visible/ IR) , metal content analysis , magnetic and atomic measurements . The spectral and magnetic measurement indicats that some complexes have tetrahedral or square planar complexes environtment .

The synthesis of new benzodiazepine, imidazole, isatin, maleimide, pyrimidine and 1,2,4-triazole derived from 2-amino-4-hydroxy-1,3,5-triazine, via its cyclocondensation reaction with different organic reagents, is described. FT-IR, 1H-NMR and as well as 13C-NMR spectra disclosed the structures of the precursors and heterocyclic derivatives formed.

This study aimed to determine the optimal conditions for extracting basil seed gum in addition to determine the chemical components of basil seeds. Additionally, the study aimed to investigate the effect of the mixing ratio of gum to ethanol when deposited on the basis of the gum yield which was1:1, 1:2, 1:3 (v/v) respectively. The best mixing ratio was one size of gum to two sizes of ethanol, which recorded the highest yield. Based on the earlier, the optimal conditions for extracting basil seed gum in different levels which included pH, temperature, mixing ratio seeds: water and the soaking duration were studied. A new Schiff base of HL has been synthesized from amoxicillin drug and 4- Chlorobenzophenone. Cr (III), Fe (III), Co (II), Ni (II), Cu (II), Cd (II) and Hg (II) mixed ligands complexes of Schiff base and Nicotinamide. Diagnosis of synthesis ligand and its complexes are done by 1HNMR, 13CNMR and thermal analysis for HL ligand, FTIR, UV-visible, molar conductance, CHN analysis, magnetic susceptility and atomic absorption. Octahedral geometries have been suggested for all complexes. All compounds under study were tested antimicrobial activity against four type of bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus Bacillis subtilis in nutrient agar.

D-mannose sugar was used to prepare [benzoic acid 6-formyl-2,2-dimethyl-tetrahydrofuro[3,4-d][1,3]dioxol-4-yl ester] (compound A).
