It was found that eggs of this species are of Telolecithal type. Two hours after fertilization of the fi rst cleavage took place  , it became

taster until the 64 cells stage, af\erward slowed down . In 4 hours the eggs reached the morula stage while gastrula stage achieved within 9 hours.

Separation of head and tail commence at 25 hours . First, heart

       A direct solvent extraction was used for the determination of phenolic compounds from Teucrium polium . Methanol, ethanol, iso-propanol, butanol and D.W  were used as an extractants and study  the affecting extraction factors including : the type and solvent concentration, temperature, extraction time and number of batch extraction, by  using Folin-ciocalteu method to determine the Total Phenolic Content (TPC) and measurement of the absorbance at λ_max 765nm. The complex was formed by reacting cupric acetate with a Schiff base in a 2:1 metal-to-ligand ratio. Parasitological examination of gills of three species of sparid fishes in the territorial waters of Iraq was performed, two diplectanid monogenoids were isolated and described; Lamellodiscus indicus Tripathi, 1959 from both Haffara seabream Rhabdosargus haffara (Forsskål, 1775) and Goldline seabream R. sarba (Forsskål, 1775) and Protolamellodiscus senilobatus Kritsky, Jiménez-Ruiz and Sey, 2000 from King soldierbream Argyrops spinifer (Forsskål, 1775).
